a very pleasant, light, properly mechanical feel
I didn't buy this for gaming, but (its my third) for heavy duty typing. So this is directed to the typist, not the gamer. You probably really want an updated, modern, illuminated version of the IBM Model M keyboard (and there are modern clones that are pretty close to the original M, but they cost £130 or something in this country, and they don't have the illumination). So you can't have affordable perfection in a mechanical clicky keyboard, you will have to compromise. And for less than £40 this is an excellent compromise. The lighting and the light show that you can have with the keyboard illumination is ... well, let's just say it's a matter of taste. I think it's ridiculous, but YMMV. It isn't quite as noisy as the original M (you may feel this is a disadvantage, but your neighbors may prefer you to use this over the M in the small hours of the morning), and this doesn't weight whatever was absurd weight of the original M - this is about normal for a modern keyboard. So it won't work as a weapon of war, which was a useful secondary quality of the original hefty M. As mechanical keys go it is fairly light but still clicky and responsive, and there is a reasonable pressure required at the end of the keystroke to get to the "click". It isn't an object of beauty, but it's hard to find a keyboard that Michelangelo might have carved; this one is no worse than most.To use, particularly for extended typing, it is very good (if you are someone who likes mechanical keys), and if you want to try out a slightly noisy, clicky keyboard with the classical mechanical feel to it, this is a very good place to start that doesn't break the bank. Be aware, however, that you may like it and get the bug, and then start to want more expensive mechanical keyboards ... and they can get VERY expensive. So for an entry level mechanical keyboard this is really excellent value and will give you a good idea of the pleasures of a mechanical keyboard. It isn't as quite as good as something costing 3 times as much ... but it's a very good keyboard for the price, and for the mechanical key addict a good inexpensive keyboard.

Not bad, but...
It's a decent keyboard for the price but tricky to set up.The box arrived with a small leaflet explaining how to set up the mouse, but not the keyboard.I contacted Hcman and they sent me a link to a driver for the mouse and a video about how to set up macros, so it's sorted out for now... but all the info should be supplied in the bow, or at least easier to find.I've also deducted another star because the backlight is pretty weak and if you look at the keyboard at an angle, some of the letters/numbers/symbols are illegible - particularly the num pad (this applies to all three colours).But... it's ridiculously cheap - particularly for mouse and keyboard (I initially though the price was just for the keyboard) so I guess I can't grumble too much.

Legend is a bit weird. Ugly font. Otherwise good board.
It's amazing that you can buy an RGB (though not the best: white does turn out like a washed out pink) mechanical keyboard for this little money nowadays. And, I daresay the switches, though they are unbranded feel about as good as the Cherry MX Blues in my Corsair K70 however if you try it is possible to make them click without triggering them, which is not true of the Cherry switches. The double-shot keycaps make it sound deeper too but they come with quite a ghastly font on them, part and parcel of the manufacturing process I think. I guess they mold the black part first, hence the need for the gaps in some letters. Overall not bad at all. The layout is weird though. Not only is it an ANSI layout with the flat enter key like you see in the US, the legend is weird too with the shifted characters laid out side by side instead of one on top of the other, with the one that appears when you press shift on the left and the default one on the right. However, on the numbers it's the other way round so there's no consistency. I can get used to that but it's going to take a while. Those are all the minor annoyances I've noticed. For the (discounted to 32 pounds) price though, it becomes hard to justify buying a rubber dome keyboard considering one of these is not that much more.

Great budget keyboard
I've now had this keyboard for 6 months and all things taken in, its a great keyboard for the price.PROS:The keyboard has a great gallery of rgb colors and effects which can be cycled through easily. The keyboard is very responsive, great for gaming.Sturdy backplate and keycaps (survived a few rage quits).CONS:Very loud switches, i personally like the clicky noise but in discord and similar calls friends always find it very loud and annoying. (easily fixed with O-Rings so i will leave the 5 star rating)Conclusion: Great keyboard for the price but i recommend buying O-Rings and if you will be using this in an office space or around others maybe look for a red or brown switch instead.5 stars

Awful don’t buy
Awful keyboard and really heavy mouse, space bar is really bad as you have to press the middle of it or it doesn’t work. LED’s are poor as you can’t see the keys clearly.

Read my review
Not really a gaming keyboard, the keys sink to far and it just feels to much effort, it looks good but doesn't do the job all that good, worth spending more and getting a prober one, the mouse also feels to heavy, yes it will do the job but there better out there
