Drake Off Road JP-180021-BL 4WD Shifter Lever w/Assembly

Quick and simple to install, looks great, very well made!The stock shifter is also well made, but this is just bling and nice bling it is. II recommend if you like a little bling, but there is a lot of other things most Jeep owners could buy that they really need instead of bling....

I love this thing. I bought the set, Shifter, handbrake and 4 wd lever. 4wd lever was a bear installing because I had to pull the console out but it was worth it..

This transfer case shift lever is well made and cool to look at and does what it is supposed to do. Installation however was an issue for me. After mounting the lever to the bracket on the transmissoin tunnel when the lever was shifter was moved to 2H the knob would contact the floor console not allowing me to know whether or not the transfer case was fully disengaged. The fix for me was to cut about one quarter inch off the shifter rod and the remove material from the bottom of the aluminum shifter knob little by little until the shifter knob no longer contacted the console. I probably spent two hours tweaking this thing so it would work properly which should not be necessary if this product was produced specifically for an 05' wrangler. I am happy with the results but it took more work than I would have preferred.

No instructions provided had to call and have e mailed2 emails with pictures sent to persons I first had phone conversation with at Drake never replied regarding problems.Hole for retaining spring miss located by over 1/2" Drilled new hole to match stock lever hole position.Flat area on top of lever with transfer case shift positions is at an angle facing about 30 deg toward passanger side, it should be level.Set screw to hold and locate this improper position is extreamly small and only marginal torque can be applied before it starts to strip out.Its ashame they wont acknowledge multible fitment QA QC problems with this product.This was a gift and I dont want to bug buyer for return so it's going in the trash. What a shame Drake, DV8 or what ever you call your self. Dont waste your money with this company.

Great product , updates the interior and a upgrade from the factory shifter , the install wasn’t that bad , first you put the transfer case in 4low to make it easyer to remove the shifter , then you have to remove the center console and transmission shifter knob , once those are off you pull a pin on the 4wd shifter and it slides out , then there is a spring on the shifter which you relocate to the new shifter , heads up , the spring location is VERY important ! , if the spring is not in perfectly the shifter will be all wobbly , I uploaded some photos of the spring so you can use as a reference , once that’s done just put the center console back in , overall it’s not a hard install , my biggest problem was the spring because I didn’t take a before photo as a reference , once I got that I was all set , overall I would def reccomend this product !
