Got to love Daniel Smith!
I purchased the pocket half pan set years ago and fell in love with Buff titanium. Being the most opaque of the pigments, it is almost more of a gouache but it holds the same blending properties as the rest of the set. It pairs well with indigo, burnt sienna, and ultramarine. I have also been working more with quinac. rose/BT blend which creates a dreamy evening sunset color. I really think every Daniel Smith connoisseur should have this pigment on hand! Shipping was okay. Found myself wishing it shipped in a box instead of a bag, but it arrived safely.

A good addition to any pallet
Jadeite Genuine is a lovely natural looking deep green. It’s a smart addition to every palette. It’s the green equivalent to indigo in my opinion. Excellent for shadows and for mixing. It’s expensive but will most likely last for years even if you use it on a regular basis.

Beautiful rich dark green
I am new to watercolor painting, and spent months using cheap watercolors and being disappointed in the results. When I got my first Daniel Smith paint, it was like the lights came on and the angels sang. What a difference, what a joy to paint with. It did everything it was supposed to, from blending to bleeding, and the colors are so vibrant. It’s highly pigmented and just feels good to paint with. Do yourself a favor and just buy the good paint. You’re worth it.
