I was worried as the vet said he had to be on renal medicated food. He is very fussy and normally prefers jelly based food. Much to my relief he really likes it.

Our fifteen year old cat's kidneys are getting tired and she was getting very thin. Since putting her on the Hill's diet, she has fattened up and looks much better. She also seems to like the food and is more likely yo finish a bowl than with other cat food brands. The only problem is that it is VERY expensive: about four times as much as Whiskas 11+. Luckily we can afford this, but many will probably find the cost daunting.

This is the identical renal-diet food recommended and previously supplied by the veterinary clinic . . . but is almost half the price. Our beautiful little cat has always been exceptionally 'fussy' regarding her food and I was very doubtful she would eat the 'diet' food she now needs to have for the majority of her meals , but she does and actually always eats every last piece, so very pleased with the product.

My cat will only eat it if I mash it with a fork, and not always then. Oddly, I can't find a kidney friendly wet food that isn't in chunks. The cat who doesn't have kidney problems bolts it down, but she also eats shrews, which are reputed to be vile.

My cat was very ill with kidney problems she is now on this special food its so good I am feeding my other cat on the same food
