These worked fantastic for my ax handle!! I searched all over town for this type of product and no stores carried them. Finally I can use my ax again!!

This wedge kit gets the job done.
I selected this wedge kit because the ad showed that it was for a single bit axe, which is what I have. The main reason that I did not give a rating of 5-stars is that the instructions were for mounting a handle to a maul or sledge. The characteristics between an axe and a maul are very different. The instructions also were a little misleading...but I figured it out.

Use them a lot in repairing my axes, splitting maul, and sledge hammers.

Appears to be holding well
I claimed a few vintage axes from my dad's collection after he died. Most were rusted and some had bent nails in the top holding the heads on. I spent some time cleaning up the handles and heads and then used a pack of these getting the head wedged back on properly. I seated the wood wedge with Gorilla glue, which seemed to work pretty well, and then used the steel wedges to really secure the head. It seems to be holding fine.
