Good, thin rope halter
This rope halter is thin with medium stiffness. It is perfect for my young mule when we are going places - it gives me plenty of control if needed but it's also soft on her. Easy to tie/untie and adjust for proper sizing.

very sturdy
Had to replace the one I had due to my husband not knowing how to take the halter off and tried undoing the "feadore" knot instead of the right one. What a mess. Will never be able to reknot it!!

Watch how Clinton Anderson uses the 4 knot rope halter.
It's light and strong. Horses are very responsive to it. Don't use the standard flat halter. Use only the 1/4" rope halter. With or without the noseband knobs.
