Replaces defective factory Jeep bolts !

2018 Jeep JK 4 door ( Replaced both front & rear track bar bushings & bolts )The factory Jeep track bar bolts, which are threaded the full length of the bolt, promote premature bushing sleeve wear & failure. The track bar keeps the live axle from moving left or right while driving. Most all of Jeep’s suspension parts use this type of bolt. This should be a Jeep safety recall, since this type of bolt causes premature wear and failure of the bushing sleeve. Recommend replacing your Jeep suspension bolts if you experience steering wandering or death wobble. Inexpensive upgrade.

Must have item for your Wrangler

Ummm, Fiat... You should upgrade the bolts for the Wrangler track bars. The images don't lie. Stock bolts nearly threaded the mounting hole in my rear track bar. Installed the rear with zero issues with a Rough Country adjustable. Waiting fort he front track bar from Rough Country to finish drying to install. These bolts are a must! Nonsleeved botls cause so many issues. Upgrade was well worth every penny!Update: added the Rough Country front track bar yesterday and these upgraded bolts and wow! I didn't have death wobble before but the steering was sloppy and these bolts and the new track bars make my rig feel 10 years newer. These bolts will be praised high and low by me for the rest of my life. Why on earth would the factory use threaded bolts where very clearly you need to be using sleeved bolts? One of the best upgrades on my rig yet!

This will fix Wrangler death wobble!

The media could not be loaded. These fixed the death wobble on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4-door. I've had the problem a long time since I upgraded to bigger tires and a 2.5" lift kit since about 10,000 miles. I did this job at 115,000 miles. The death wobble only happened to me a handful of times, but it felt like in general the steering was getting looser in the last year or two and the chance of it happening was getting greater with each SE Michigan pothole or bump in the road. I finally had to do something and am very happy I did! After about 2 weeks of installing these bolts, the steering is much improved.A tip I can offer is the passenger side bolt was hard to get at, so I turned my steering wheel all the way to the right, and that gave me access with my long socket and breaker bar to the bolt head.

$20 solution to a huge problem

As silly as it seems, these bolts, specifically the two for the front track bar, were all I needed to cure the death wobble. You'd think such a scary and violent suspension problem would require an expensive repair. In my case these ever-so-slightly-larger bolts were the cure.If you loosen the stock bolts you'll notice that they aren't a snug fit in the mounting holes. Apparently that tiny little space is enough to let your axel shake as if it's coming off. I had my stock bolts torqued to 150 ft-lbs but that wasn't enough to keep the from moving. These bolts torqued to 130 work great.Remember to tighten these with all four wheels on the ground. That part was really a challenge because there's so little room to work. Still, I do zero car repairs and was able to do this. Plenty of instruction on you tube.

Fine Thread is stronger, a big plus!

Bolts are a must have for a heavy duty trackbar such as Yeti, or TeraFlex Monster, or Synergy Mfg. All four 9/16" bolts could be about 1/2" longer, or at least one of them, to use with Synergy trackbar brace. Synergy provides a longer 3.125" 9/16" larger diameter than factory bolt, but it is course thread....go figure? If your frame holes are wallowed out larger, and they almost always are, when you pull the factory trackbar, these are just the ticket. Check out Synergy Mfg. trackbar brace if your frame has wear at the bolt holes. You won't be disappointed.

*5 stars

I’ll give these a 5 star because they seem to be well made product, in my case I have a aftermarket steering stabilizer flip kit by Synergy, which is attached to were m adjustable track bar mounts, which adds 3/8 or more thickness so the bolts intended for this do not have enough thread, had to use the fifth M14 bolt not sure if it’s a good idea

MIGHT have fixed my death wobble...

I'm not sure if these cured my SEVERE death wobble or not, but I replaced the original track bar bolt with one of these at the same time that I replaced my tie rod with a heavier-duty tie rod, and my death wobble did completely disappear. So was it this bolt or the new tie rod? I'll never know for sure but it very well could have been this bolt because the whole was larger in diameter than the original bolt. Try it, it just might do the trick.

it is more that the concept and the cure is to use bolts like these. A kit took care of the slop

Installed in 15 minutes with my home lift and a ratchet strap to align the holes. Lower the vehicle and tighten the bolts with the weight on the wheels. Measured the old bolts and the new with digital calipers, the new bolts are .005 bigger and a shoulder bolt compared to fully threaded. The difference in how snug they fit in the hole is very apparently. There is nothing high tech or special about these bolts, it is more that the concept and the cure is to use bolts like these. A kit took care of the slop, and the price was virtually free.
