My son loves open ended toys.. The moment I saw this, I knew I had to get it for him. It's really well made, smooth edges (safe for kids to play). Also love, that it's all wooden. The box is also really well made and great to keep the tools. There are lots of different structures & things that can be made using the parts provided.What I love:>Open ended play>Wooden, well made and strudy>Cute lil faces on the Tools> Great way for young kids to learn about building things and also keep things organised (in the box) (number of pieces are just about right for them to build cool things, at the same time not too many to overwhelm young ones)What could be better:It would be great to have a mesh bag or something similar to hold the smaller pieces as they tend to move all over the box once the box is closed (m sure I can find something for that, but just saying)

Update: We’ve had this over 9 months now and it looks about as crispy new as when we got it!! The kids still play with it very often, so I’d say it’s very durable! I gave another star because almost all the sets out there at this price range would need more pieces to build anything significant. I found some used tinker pieces to go with this and it’s great!Original:I got this tool set for my 4 & 2 year old daughters. They love pretending to fix things. I love how this set came in a case that has areas for all the pieces. It locks shut so everything doesn’t spill out everywhere. I think the faces on the tools make it really cute and help girls to know they can use tools too. I gave it 4 stars because if we’re going to build multiple objects, I’ll have to get some more “parts”, but it gives enough to have a good start. The set seems well made so it should last a long time. My boy nephews came over and played with it for an hour or two and it looks just the same as when I got it, so I’m happy with that. I wanted a wood set because so many of my kids toys are plastic and who knows what’s in all that plastic. Overall I’d say I’m glad I ordered this set and would do it again!

Great toy for curious kids- will definitely keep them busy. The only ‘but’: the box it comes in has pretty sharp edges & makes the entire experience very loud. Our 18mo likes to shake it with all the pieces in it (like a sledgehammer into your brain at 4am) & hurt his hand twice on one of the edges…other than that great for active kids to keep them entertained!

Excellent gift

The media could not be loaded. My 2 youngest kids have been having fun playing with it. 4 of 5 stars for durability because of the fabric stretch bands that hold the tools in place. They probably will degrade quicker, but I suppose for a safer toy they do the job better than plastic, wood, or metal would (at least for as long as they last) to get the tools in and out easily. Nice carry case. Tiny rope handle may be too small and awkward to be functional for little hands, but not a deal breaker. Cute cartoon-like character faces on the tool handles add to the make-believe fun. Neatly done fun paint colors. Price may be a little high, but worth it depending on what you can find in a comparable wooden tool set with as many pieces. Nice color instructions for ideas on things that can be built with what is included.

Toddler loves it! Loves to fill with rocks & leaves as he is working in his ‘shop’! Will give as gift to other family & friends kids.
