Angelus Black Acrylic Leather Paint works fab
This is a review of Angelus Black Acrylic Leather Paint. I bought it to paint the white soles on a pair of black shoes. I do not care for white soles when I am going out to a nice place. An all-black shoe looks dressier, in my opinion. The jar came well-wrapped, with no leakage. I applied it with a small sponge brush, and it covered the white completely with one coat. The directions state that it can be used on materials other than leather. It is a true black and dries to a glossy finish. It was very easy to use—I did a second pair in no time at all. I have worn the shoes a number of times now and there is no chipping or scratches. I think this is a very good product.

Renovated my recliner!
Researched leather paints as I disliked the maroon recliner we have. I used 4 different colors. (Saddle, luggage, brown & camel) very little of the camel as it was very yellow. I painted w brush 1st coat, then sponged 2nd & 3rd coat using all ( but not camel) to achieve a more realistic leather look. Vac all the crevices and cleaned Then wiped down w acetone. Prior to painting Love the look! Hope it holds up! ( 4got to take before pic but the chair was the color of the one in my college. The end result is #4) Why did you pick this product vs others?:Did lots of research. This product seemed to have best reviews and longivity

It works!
I wanted to repaint/restore my aged yellowish leather chair to white. I ordered some other brand and painted 5 coatings but still couldn’t cover some spots that were yellowish. I switched to Angelus for my last hope. Surprisingly, it worked on every spot of the chair. After 2 layers of coating, the chair started to look amazing! And I sealed the paint with the balm came with the other brand to make it shiny. My chair looks like new now. Check the photos and see what I am talking about.

I will update this
... So my timbs here have been through a lot. Ended up using a black stain. Long story short I was against painting them but screw it. The color is nice. Here is the reason for the 4 stars. #1 this paint lacks a good primer. As someone that's paints regularly I should either do a primer or the paint should be decent with bonding. This was tested on a surface that wasn't shoes. So it does contain some kind of primer. But I do feel like it's going to be the downfall of this product hence why I'm going to wait to give it a full either five stars or I'm going to give it less. It's also very low in quantity because if you care about streaks while painting you will have to thin this product and apply. The way I did it was I applied good liberal amount to coats sanded it with a 220 and then I hit it with a watered down version. But being brushed on and being a thick paint it's going to leave streaks. So that should be noted on there when painting yes if you're spraying you won't get streaks. I would prefer spray paint but because these timberlands have the plaid on top I was against it. I'm hoping the flexibility of this paint is good. Most of any acrylic paint is but this is a boot. Lastly I did add one more thing to this paint. I did spray a clear satin sheen on top of it.And this is because after sanding it I still couldn't get the streaks the way I wanted it so I had to match the sheen of the paint which is more of a eggshell. Nevertheless they came out really nice. I'm going to wait until tomorrow and then I'm going to shoot a leather protector on top of this so we'll see what happens wish me luck

Leather Repair Paint
Outstanding product. See the pics. This was from a high speed angle grinder after I hit a piece of stainless steel and it got yanked out of my hand. —- First I sanded with 150 grit sandpaper, filled the gap with the same brand leather filler. After drying I roughed it up with the 150 grit and then painted it with this paint and a small foam brush. After drying used some Lincoln polish. Can’t hardly tell there was damage, unless you knew what to look for.

Works well on leather
Bought this to show my friend how to pickle leather boots which cost 23 hundred dollars because they were made by a famous Italian designer. I happened to have a 30 year old pair of loggers that I only wore 10 times. The heel was so heavy that I never really wore them. The pickle came out beautiful and better. Then the Mason Margiela's. Ironically I spent 5 years at the fashion institute of technology AND ... it was there that I learned restoration and antique refinishing. I pickled a total of 10 pieces of furniture in my career and pickling a pair of leather boots was no different.

This is the paint for shoes!!!
Kids are into redesigning their football cleats to reflect their personalities! This leather paint is a life saver. The adhesion is phenomenal! The color is flat but that’s what I needed. The paint and clear coating for this product is flexible so cracking is minimized. I’m not sure if it will hold on plastic so I triple coated on the sole of the cleat. Hopefully the three layers provide a thick coating and hold up for the player. Lastly this paint is a great value you for the stability that it provides. I wouldn’t paint another shoe without it!!!
