Works fine but be aware that ...
This movement works just fine and as long as the WWV signal is broadcast you will never have to worry about DST again. However be aware that NIST has proposed dropping this signal in the 2019 budget and this will revert the movement back to a standard clock movement . This affects millions of clocks in the USA. May or may not happen. The only negative feature of this movement is that it is larger than the standard Quartex movement and may not fit all clocks.UPDATE- The broadcast signal has been fully funded in the 2019 budget. Good news.

No provision to hanf the movement on the wall
I could not install this movement. There is no way to hang the movement on the wall. The slip on metal bracket from the clock I wanted to use it in wouldn't fit and there was no notch on the back of the movement as on Quartex's other non-atomic movements. i will send it back and use a regular movement. It's a shame because this clock is in a difficult position to get to to change twice a year..

Good replacement for my old clock movement.
The movement worked perfectly and fit fairly well as a replacement for the original movement that was in my clock. It was relatively easy to install. I say "relatively easy" because the instructions were not clear on how to get the hands to stay on. Once I figured that out by trial and error, everything else went well. One word of caution: the hands are very thin metal, and they do bend very easily. Handle them with care when trying to install them on the shaft. Also, because the hands are thin, the clock may be a bit hard to read from a distance. In 20/20 hindsight, I wish I had bought a unit with thicker hands. Still, that was my purchase decision and I can't fault the manufacturer for that. Bottom line: it does work well, but do be careful installing the hands.

Useless second hand
I spent a lot of time with assembling and setting up this clock works some of which was wasted as the second hand fell off after less than two days. This is the third works I have had in a 41 year old clock and the previous ones have a way that the hands pushed onto the shaft. This second hand on this works is only held on with a tiny nut. I could have overlooked the overly complex procedure for setting this clock up but not this. I frequently use the clock for a timer so it is useless for that.

Very cheaply made.
What a piece of cheap garbage. I made nice garage clock and it worked fine for a while, One day I see the hour hand on 6 o'clock. It was loose and I was unable to secure it back. The minute hand attaches nicely, but hour hand has very flimsy fit.

They both worked excellently for about two days, then one was exactly a half hour behind. I called tech support and they asked me what batteries I used. I told them CVS brand. They said use Duracell or other top brand. I thought it was crazy but did it anyway. It worked. They have been working for weeks now and both are synced to the exact second. Very impressive. No more changing the daylight saving time, either.

Chrck shaft length
Shaft length too short for my clock face

Great product, need to modify descriptions though
Bought one of these for a wall clock that had stopped working. Measuring the thickness of the clock (1/4") I figured that the one I ordered would fit, as the details said the hand shaft length was 5/16". Nope. The threads are only about 3/8" so I can't get the nut to thread, even without the rubber washer.Clock it, this is a great product, and I've used another one of your kits before, on a project where the threaded part of the shaft didn't matter. Please include in your descriptions the actual length of the threads, as this may be a crucial measurement for some people.Additionally, for the other do-it-yourselfers, keep in mind that these movement shafts don't come out directly in the middle, as some other movements do (see photo).
