Worked wonderfully with my old Motorola G5. Accessed all blocked sites in the mainland.

I placed the sim card, started my phone, it worked well in China. I can check gmail, use Google maps and wechat.

I was very worry that it won't work when traveling to China, but it works well! Simply put it in my phone and it automatically link to local telecom signal. The speed was fast enough for all kinds of video and common use of cell phone.

This review is for an unusual use, and not for data use in Hong Kong or mainland China. It pertains to HUAWEI and HONOR phones and obtaining OS updates.If you have a HUAWEI (or HONOR) phone in the USA or otherwise are not in the Hong Kong / mainland China area and your phone is for the C636 region, this is the SIM you need to obtain OS updates. My P30 Pro phone stopped getting updates after it's first update in June 2019, so I bought this SIM since I wanted recent security updates and EMUI 11. Replaced my SIMs with this one from China Unicom, connected to my home Wi-Fi, and was able to obtain all the updates since the first EMUI 10 release. Now on EMUI 11 and using my regular SIM's for calls and data. Well worth the price of the SIM. Hopefully I can periodically swap this SIM in again to get future updates but if not, I know to buy a China Unicom SIM when I feel the need to get current again on OS updates.
