Horrible smell but the kids iron levels are normal now, so worth it. Iron deficiency at the 12 month check up

My daughter is 11 months old and still mostly breastfed, so our pediatrician recommended this to make sure she gets enough iron and vitamins. The taste is strong on its own, but I mix it with a little juice or formula, and she takes it with no problem. We've been using it daily for a few months now, and her energy has improved, and her iron levels came back great at her last checkup. Super easy to use with the dropper. I guess this might be one of the most preferred iron supplements for infants in the country. It provides all the vitamins and iron in one easy to administer drop. It comes with a dropper which replaces the cap it is shipped with. The taste is very strong and I am sure almost all the babies gives a hard time. My baby runs away the moment I come near her with the dropper :)

I was able to get my baby to take it the first few times, but after a while she knew it was coming and would fight me to take it because she hated the taste. When she spit it out, or it dripped, it was a dark brown sticky smelly mess that stains unless treated immediately. The health effects might be OK, but the application is difficult.

My daughter has had low iron for almost a year now. This supplement has brought her levels back up. Its one of the best supplements I have tried. Very effective and has other ingredients that help with growth at this age.
