Q: If the bottom is not filled with ice, can the divders be pushed down to the bottom of the unit?

The dividers sit ton the lip of the server. They can't sit on the bottom unless you turn them sideways then you can't fit all of them in. I really enjoy using this item. I have a pizza oven and put ice at the bottom and my toppings and sauce stay cool and fresh when outside.

a little is inevitable my dear, most of the time the side wall is thick enough to prevent it :)

Q: Does the lid have a flat top so I can fill and then stack on top of each other in the refrigerator until event takes place?

Dear, the lid is not a flat design, better put it next to each other in the refrigerator :)

Q: I got this a s a Christmas gift and the lid is cracked. Is it possible to purchase a replacement lid?

You'll have to contact the manufacturer to see if they sell a replacement lid if it's too late to return the item to Amazon.
