These door stoppers do just that but exceedingly well. I’ve had others in the past that just slid around. These are excellent quality, and when you put them in a door, the door stays where you want it. Also, great for home or travel for added security. Highly recommended.

I found a great alternative use
These seem to be excellent quality. My washing machine scoots every time I was and I can’t push it back. I lined these down the front of the washer and it really helps.

These are nice and small, lightweight, however I used this for a classroom heavy wooden door on tile. The door stops are hollow in the middle, it's just a wedge shell, so the bottom has very little surface contact with the floor, so these slipped unless I really jammed the wedge under the door, and even then they would flex to flatten out and slide anyway because what little base there was no longer set firmly against the floor. I have to reposition these three to four times to get them to hold the door, if it all. Any dirt on the floor or wedge wouldn't allow it to hold, I'd have to pick it up and rub it with my hand to remove it and try again. This was not very effective seen I propped the door open only our 5 minute transitions, 5 times a day. Hated dealing with these door stops.I will note, they would probably work much better on carpet which would have more friction.

Heavy duty and colorful.
Using the bright colored door stopper under sewing machine to tip it slightly forward to eliminate neck and shoulder stiffness during long periods of sewing.
