Easy installation on Ubuntu 22.04
I got this about 30 minutes ago. Went to the website mentioned in the packaging, did Alt-F2 (I'm on Ubuntu 22.04) and pasted the command; waited a few minutes (at 98% things looked frozen but there was compiling going on in the background). Did 'iwconfig' and can see the device was recognized. Went to settings and configured it to talk to my WIFI and it just worked. Easy install and I'm happy for now.

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Wifi signal boost
Remote sensor had a weak signal that at times would just fail to connect to the local network ... now its moderate.Installation was easy, though the build process does take a while.Highly recommend.

Yes, it works with Windows 11 and Debian Linux
I don't usually write product reviews but this BrosTrends wifi adaptor deserves one. I am assembling a new desktop computer to dual boot Win11 and Linux Debian. A new motherboard with a Wifi-7 chip on board. Works great for Win but no drivers available for Linux. Thus the need for a USB wifi adaptor. This is the fourth usb adaptor I purchased. The other three....no Linux drivers. So, I selected this AC5L adaptor because the description said it "works with Linux". If you are considering one of these because of the "works with Linux", go to BrosTrends website to verify that your particular Linux distribution is shown as compatible. Most are but there are some aren't yet compatible. As these drivers make it into more kernels, I believe more and more distributions will work with this adapter. So, I received this late Friday afternoon and began the installation and testing. Win11 setup was easy and it connected to my router. In Linux it was not immediately recognized. After doing all that I knew how to do, I decided to contact their Customer Service. This was about 10:00 pm Friday evening. I expected to get a response Monday or Tuesday. I got a response in about 10 minutes! I followed their instructions, we emailed back and forth a few times and by Saturday noon it was working just like I wanted. BrosTrend Customer Service is the best I have ever worked with. Now, for you guys who bought an 870e Crosshair Hero motherboard and are finding out the wifi-7 onboard will not work with Linux, this adapter is a nice workaround.By the way, my installation is working fine with Secure Boot and Fast Boot enabled.A big THANK YOU to the BrosTrend customer service team that helped me!

Find something better
Total junk. I have a laptop in my shop about 100 feet from my house. My house has a very powerful Mesh router. This antenna doesn't do any better than the tiny little antenna inside the laptop, so I still have no better service with this antenna. Signal strength is no better either. It is compatible with my Linux laptop, but that's about as far is it goes. It's otherwise useless.

Works well for 2013 MacBook Pro under Linux Mint
This adapter seems to have solved my problem. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro that I've converted to Linux Mint. It has a built in wifi adapter which Linux apparently can't get a driver for. So, the built in adapter loses connection every few minutes and I have had to restart wifi or the entire laptop to reconnect. This adapter seems to keep it's connection, and when the internal adapter loses connection, this one seems to bring it back online. I'm very happy with that! But, both internal and this adapter have lost connection at least once. I can live with that instead of losing connection every 3-5 minutes! It seems to be made kinda flimsy is the reason for lowering my review by 1 star. But, I'm hoping with care it will last.

Fresh Install, Easy install with Linux, NO tech support needed.
I bought a refurbed Dell Optiplex 990 which came without wireless or Bluetooth capability. I have installed Linux Mint on it as a learning platform. My existing Windows based dongles worked (sorta), Mint tries to adapt to whatever wireless it finds. But neither my "no-name" POS or my elderly and slow Netgear dongle worked all that well.. Mint would spend a good hour connecting and disconnecting (trying different stuff, I guess) before it settled down to work slowly but properly. Heh, Heh, I wanted to LEARN!I got tired of all this and looked for a direct Linux support wireless dongle. Note: There isn't much out there. But I did find BrosTrend, which appears to go out of its way to support the Debian/Ubuntu line of Linux Distros. I had never heard of BrosTrend, but when I went to their web site, they impressed me with their professional looking and complete sales and support efforts. This isn't some fly-by-night junk vendor, this is a serious company that wants to make a good name for itself. It came with an install CD, but I didn't use it. I normally just download the latest drivers from the website and follow the instructions I find there, It's the best way to get the latest drivers and instructions.Installation was real easy for Linux you just copy the Install instruction you find on the Web page, then open the terminal on you Linux machine, paste the instruction, into the terminal Window, and press enter. It may ask you for your password that you use to boot your computer (Depends on what folder you open the terminal in). If so, just enter it and press enter again. After that, it takes about 2-3 minutes to install.Reboot your PC, and after the reboot, it will ask you for your network's security Password and connect to your home network. It's fast and stable, everything I was looking for. Highly recommended for experienced and Newbies alike.
