Excellent design and performance.I would purchase this product again.

Package says "Made in Japan". Cells are marked "China". Grammar errors in the English part of instructions and discrepancy between package and cell marking makes authenticity of being made by Maxell questionable. The cells I have used so far last well and do the job. The vendor shipped quickly. Shelf life remains to be tested. Product has been satisfactory regardless of manufacture, but I don't care for the marking discrepancies, regardless of source.

How does one write a review about batteries? They look well made, have some weight and i expect them to work? Id ask that you re-visit my review once i use them til expired. The battery, not me. But feel free to test them yo-sef. Mine were for a tiny flashlight. Nice and bright when i turned it on. I might use it again in about 5 years. So, since i dont expect ANY battery to work after 5 years, next time, ill just leave the batts OUT, and load it if i need it. WIN-WIN!! No drained, unused waste batts in the belfry ( joking—landfill! ).., tiny torch is still brand new (no leaks), and if you put in batts that are not out of date, its like a trip back in time! No regrets a second time around. You now know better. Learn from my mistakes. I speak from experience. And if your batts ARE dead and within date, send em a email! Double WIN-WIN! Im freakin myself out here…gotta go.

I bought them for my meat thermometer for cooking and they work perfectly!!!
