Ive ended up using the whisk a ton. Dough comes out perfect shape every time and has those really nice spirals you want from a banneton.Cleaning is super easy too, just knock out some flour and let it dry out.overall super happy, highly recommend for any sourdough baker beginner or not.

As a sourdough novice, I had none of the “tools”. I have serviceable alternatives in my kitchen, but the bowls I used for proofing didn’t seem to work very well - though that could be my lack of experience.I ordered this kit as an investment toward my success. I was worried about how light the bowl seemed, but it was strong enough to hold the dough without breaking. The removable liner comes on and off easily but stays put when holding the dough. It washes easily - I hung it up to dry. It doesn’t keep the flour completely from falling through to the bowl, so I did need to gently brush the bowl a little, rinsed it, and air dries it thoroughly.The mixer has a comfortable weight to it, as well as the dough cutter. Both seem pretty well made.The lame needs to have the blade put on it, and though it’s sharp, it took more effort than I expected to score the dough.In all, I’m happy with my purchase. It’s good for a starter set.

I want to start off by saying that I was skeptical that this basket would improve my sourdough making but it has. I guess because it doesn't retain moisture like my plastic tub did. Now, we are not talking a night and day difference, but I seem to get a more consistent loaf.First off, the shape is better but that is to be expected. Secondly, the liner and the brush make it much easier to clean. Just dust it with flour before adding your dough. After you are done you can brush off as much flour as you can and sit it out to dry. Or pick off/rinse any dough stuck to the liner.Will the basket itself hold up? I don't know but I think so. The liner seems fine but of medium quality. But I have nothing to judge it against.One area where it is lacking is the accessories. The lame is fine and is easier than holding a blade in your hand and the cover, while fake, is a nice addition. Also, the brush is nice too. That said, the dough scrapers are not my favorite. The quality is what you would expect at the price, but the shape is what I don't care for. Too squared off making them harder to use. Fortunately, I have others. The dough whisk totally isn't for me. The dough does exactly what you don't want it to do, sticks and badly. Plus, the handle is awful. Personally, I use a cold temperature professional scraper (looks like a silicon spatula) that was all of 2 dollars at a supply store but to each their own. (That said if you don't have one, they are useful.)All of that said, the value as a package is still there. You are going to pay as much for the lame and the basket. So, if you have no other tools for sourdough, you will get some to start with. If you have other tools, maybe just buy the two-basket package.
