Surprisingly smooth and good quality!
Really excellent quality. Not dusty at all. Consistent, smooth. I'm sold! I've been drinking yerba mate for decades and recently wanted to switch to a non-smoked, organic variety and found this one. While I love the Guayaki company (met the founders and really hit it off with them), this one is a bit more affordable (on Amazon) and is just a bit nicer quality, I'm finding. Loving it. Hope they remain consistent!

My favorite mate when I’m in Buenos Aires, too
On my last long stay in Buenos Aires, my herbalist recommended that I try Kraus organic yerba mate instead of my usual one. I got hooked on the flavor and it became “my” mate. I was buying the yellow package, which is Kraus’s mate WITH both leaf and stem. Back in the US, I was happy to find it on Amazon and noticed that the white package was all-leaf and tried it. It seems that the leaf-and-stem product is a little milder. Both are delicious, high quality mate. I always add to my mate gourd freshly grated ginger and either a little roasted dandelion root (in Argentina, unroasted “amargón” - the dried root, leaves, and flowers) or moringa to my mate for added nutrition, flavor, and alkalinity, making my yerba mate an anti-inflammatory beverage, as well as an energizing and mood-elevating one - without the jittery nerves I get from coffee! Next time I’ll order the yellow package of Kraus to see which version I prefer.

Standard Higher Quality Yerbaaté
This is a regular example of the all leaf, no stem or dust Yerba Maté, which is the minority and costlier of the 2 general styles. The pure leaf Matés are smoother and fresher tasting that the stem and dust infused type.

Best yerba ever!
Kraus yerba mate is honestly the best mate I have ever tried. It's not smokey like other yerba mate can be and it really allows the yerba mate flavor to shine through. I would suggest getting a fine mesh tea bag as yerba tends to have a lot of fine powder and this is no exception. If you like a strong smokey flavor to your yerba look elsewhere but if your just starting to drink yerba or you hated it when you tried it before I implore you to give this brand a shot, you won't be disappointed.

High quality organic mate from Argentina
This is the parent company of the EcoTeas organic mate, which is a favorite of mine, so I thought I'd compare the two. The EcoTeas is all leaves, this one has some stems and powder, not much. Otherwise, very similar, both have a moderate caffeine lift but no jitters due to the theobromine content. This one has a little softer flavor than the EcoTeas version, but is still complex and earthy. You can shift them both both either way as well by adjusting the water temperature and brewing time. A high quality organic mate from Argentina.

Great healthy herb 🌿
anyone talking about the taste obviously doesnt drink a lot of tea. with a little bit of honey it has a very similar taste to fresh green tea. my stomach felt less bloated after using and it definitely gives energy like coffee (from a avid napper)

Good stuff
This is a really good yerba mate. I like this better than with leaves and stems. It has a nice strong flavor, if that's what you're into.
