Love this product!

Once you get the device set up, it is amazing. You can not only see far away lands but you can interact with each setting to learn about that destination. My grandson loves this! Very similar to the VR headset! Would totally recommend!

A great product!

The media could not be loaded. My daughter loves it! And I think it’s great too. The quality is pretty good for the price. It’s a great learning tool for kids. I will be purchasing more of their products.

Excellent resource

New avenue for researching the world. Requires adult assistance to set up and guide children throughout the various sites. Not a game but children find it entertaining as they travel through the many cities and countries. Grandchildren are age 6 and 9 and are enjoying the journeys.

Not worth the money

First off from somebody with eye problems, or sight problems you’re gonna have difficulties with this atlasVirtual reality. I don’t think it’s worth $60. It’s hard to manipulate the book after you get the goggles on and open the book which is hard, because the book doesn’t stay open. You point to a site by accident it comes up and you’re supposed to have some grand experience but it’s not that at all you hear somebody talking and telling you stuff about a particular picture and some of the virtual reality isn’t that good? of course it’s always a matter of opinion. It’s whatever you think personally, I don’t think much about it. I may even be returning the package. It’s not worth 60 bucks 25 at the most.

Great

We don't use it for long cuz Mt kidd are too young for VR and it makes me woozy but it is still a fun way to learn.

We are super excited to see this series developing along with DK.

Our family has been enjoying VR toys for several years now and Amazon has a wide array of them. If this is your first VR destination on Amazon, look around. The array of products is vast.In this review, I won't go into the whole array of products, but it is worth noting: A lot of VR products are designed for gaming. Our family isn't really interested in that. We've enjoyed, through the years, VR products aimed at broadening kids' awareness of the world. For example, we really enjoyed some of the View-Master-brand VR products, which also are listed on Amazon. When we discovered this new series that Abacus has launched, we were excited. Then, there's also the Abacus growing partnership with DK publishers within these sets. We're a family that trusts and enjoys DK products for kids, so that's a big trust factor for us on the content side.At least one other reviewer has mentioned a hope that this Abacus series will develop more robust VR content with future titles. And we agree. This set definitely is fun with the kids, but VR can do so much more than we've found in these selections. We're quite pleased to recommend this set to other parents, and grandparents, for gift giving. After this set, we're going to be repeat customers, probably for the Dinosaur set, next, or maybe the Galaxy set.

Not as in depth as we hoped.

Got this for my homeschooled kiddos as a fun supplement to geography. We were very excited opening the book and seeing all the "snapshots on each page, assuming each would be selectable/exploration.Sadly this is not the case. Not even every individual country or page can be selected. Many 2 page spreads only have one "entry point" which will then take you to a virtual room where you can select from 3 specific items on the wall. Of those 3, often one or 2 will be a 2 d video played on the wall of the vr room, with only some even being 3d scenes. What 3d scenes there are, are nice, with a full view including above. Just about all the immersive locations that include people seem to be full of tourists, so also sad we don't get a view of local communities aside from tourist centric scenes. There are several pages we can't seem to activate at all.All told: I'd say the book alone (as far as a standalone atlas) is worth a good chunk of the price, and the headset seems solid enough to be worth most of the rest, but this isn't nearly as in depth as we had hoped, and we're hesitant to invest in the other offerings now.If you are looking for a novelty that will reassure you that your kids may learn a tidbit or two, it's a neat item, but it's not got the depth to be much more than a novelty. You could easily find all this content on YouTube for free, so you are essentially paying for a book, a headset, and a couple dozen 3d scenes.
