With all the cheap plastic meat spatula on the market that melt, and are made of unknown plastics, I have found this one is not only made of high quality food safe silicone it also is extremely sturdy. The center is metal, which means it will not flex and bend at the handle. As a disabled person who has limited wrist mobility and hand issues, these kind of meat mashers are so much easier for a consistent cooked ground meat. I’ve also used this on tofu for scrambled tofu and eggs, and mashing whole tomatoes in stews and sauces. Does not stain (so far) and has seen abusive heavy use and still looks brand new!!! Well worth the price!

I use to use a wooden spoon to break up the ground meat. This is fabulous. It does quick work. You have to use a knife to scrape off the meat that clings to it. I wish it was a little smaller. I am a petite woman and this is just a little too big for me. I am not sending it back though. I love it.

Very effective cooking tool to break up hamburger, a labor and time saver. It is not a cheap plastic covered metal utensil that will ultimately damage your nonstick pans, but a solid, long lasting kitchen tool you will highly value. Highly recommend.

I have been looking for a meat “masher” for a while but did not want the plastic ones because of the toxins that come along with them… and then I found this silicon one. Works great and non-toxic!

I have a Pampered Chef meat chopper but unfortunately it has scratched some of my pans in the past. I couldn't figure out the scratches but learned the hard way when I puchased a new set of pans. I use nothing but silicone now. BUT IT!

If it's ground round, turkey, pork, chicken or whatever, my husband is there with his tool breaking up meat for browning. I've always adhered to never having tools that are only a one use type of tool but this one is pretty cool and does the job well.

Well the other one I bought bent in the middle. This one is a trooper. No problem whipping potatoes. Recommend.
