Q: What are the inside dimensions of the lid? The butter that I get is longer and taller than a stanard stick.

Interior is 6 1/2" x 2 3/3" at the bottom of the lid The lid tapers slightly inward, so perhaps a 1/4 of an inch smaller at top of lid. Height 2 1/2".

Q: I see the dimensions listed but am confused by photos 4 & 6 and comments that vary widely in their depiction of the size.

The bottom portion that the butter sits on is actually 71/2 “ long by 3 3/4” wide. The lid sits inside the bottom and is 6 1/4” long and 2 1/4” wide at the top and the bottom of the lid that actually fits into the bottom dish is a little larger 6 3/4” by almost 3” making the butter fit nicely.
