Learn To Brew1 x Faucet Adapter for Jet Carboy Beer Bottle Washer

I use the faucet adapter for home brewing and it was great to have on hand and to have a second adapter in case one breaks or I lose one. This works very well. Caution though: check what kind of sink you have and look at the faucet first. I have a "fancy" kitchen faucet which has a different adapter size so this didn't work - but I just use in the laundry room instead.

Some others have noted the thread didn't fit their sink. I had a different problem. The diameter was correct but the lip of the central part of the adapter stopped the the thread from reaching inside my faucet, where the faucet's thread was imbedded deep. This was not the fault of the product. Such things are dependent on the faucet you have in your kitchen. Fortunately, someone I know happened to have an extender which solved the problem and it worked perfectly. I imagine it only cost a few bucks, if that. To me, not that big of a deal. The important thing is that the other end fits the jet washer.However, I'm wondering if it might be worth a trip to the hardware store and bring the jet carboy and the unscrewed screen holder from your kitchen sink and buy an adapter from there. You can take a chance and order it online, but there is the chance you might need another piece to get it to fit. If you can live with that, go for it.

Worked great to adapt from a standard kitchen faucet to the bottle washer.

Dont' remember what I paid for it, but I bought the carboy washer for the kitchen sink, and you need this part to make the faucet connect to the carboy washer. I think I also needed it for the copper wort chiller that I bought somewhere on Amazon too that was $10 cheaper than my local brew store sells them for (even with shipping).FYI be careful putting this thing on and off. I screwed it in with no problems (that's what she said), butt when I was taking it out, it was on really good and the threads cut the skin of my forefinger. Now I just take a washcloth and screw the thing on and off.

I just suffer through with trying to get this piece off every time. The picture clearly displays knurling but it isn’t what I got. I damage the threads a bit every time I take it off. It otherwise does the job.

The item delivered was NOT the image on the Amazon listing.There is no knurled ring on the outside to provide grip when tightening or loosening the adapter. There is no where to place a wrench or fingers, and the barrel is completely threaded or too far recessed and narrow to apply a tool of any kind.The ONLY reason I ordered this item was because of the knurled ring. The image is misleading and should be updated.

I have been to very popular hardware stores so many times looking for a connector for my kitchen facet so I can attach a hose to clean my porch in a high-rise apartment.Every time they have sold me adapter that does not fit.Last week I decided to try Amazon.First product purchase and its a perfect fit! Very easy to attach.Porch will be sparkling clean this year!Thanks

I purchased this faucet adapter after reading through the comments on Amazon. I took a chance, not knowing if I would need it or not. It fit perfectly on my tap with the jet carboy bottle washer. I am glad that I took a chance with it. Washing wine bottles is going to be so much easier now.
