Great - wish I'd bought it first rather than the 'Go' model
Early last year I bought the 128 GB version of this, It's great, no trouble connecting with my laptop with the USB A end, and importantly it worked flawlessly with my phone (just a Moto G54 5G) with the USB C connector, coming up in a file manager app just 1 second after plugging it in every time, and ejecting almost instantly. Some months later I decided I really needed a bigger 256GB Flash drive, and bought the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive 'Go' 256 GB as it was flagged as being a newer and faster model - what a mistake. That was OK connecting to the laptop, but was terrible with my phone: half the time it wouldn't connect at all and have to be pulled out and re-inserted, when it did connect it took ages for the file manager on the phone to show it, and it took about half-a-minute to eject. Wondering if it was my phone with the bigger memory flash drive I eventually bought this one, and despite being 256 GB like the 'Go' one, it works brilliantly, just like the 128 GB one. Connects to the phone every time, comes up in the phone's file manager in about 1 second, and ejects almost instantly; and of course you can retract both connectors while on the 'Go' model you can only cover one connector. I really regret buying the 'Go' model first instead of this drive. Pity they don’t do this model in even larger sizes. Anyway - for me, this model and size is brilliant.

Super Convenient and Fast
The SanDisk 256GB Ultra Dual Drive is perfect for quickly moving files between my phone, laptop, and Mac. The dual USB-C and USB-A connectors make it super versatile, especially with apple MacBook and the transfer speeds are great. It’s compact, easy to use, and works right out of the box.

Large capacity in small size, with both smaller and larger USB fitting
I liked the idea of the large storage capacity in small size but the download time from my HP laptop was rather slow. Not sure why as I downloaded in 'batches'. I have Flashdrives I use as well which are very quick. Reasonably priced for the capacity and no doubt the increase in storage with smaller sizes will continue. The small size might lead to it being overlooked or more easily lost as a note of caution. I have used both the larger and the smaller USB fitting and it is easy to switch, using a plastic (?) press and 'slide' fitting, but they should be treated carefully in order not to hasten wear and tear.

Brilliant USB for smart phones
I wanted to share my experience with the SanDisk 256GB Ultra Dual Drive USB C Flash Drive, a recent purchase that has exceeded my expectations. With an overwhelming collection of photos and videos on my phone, I was reluctant to delete any of them. That's when I found this fantastic USB C memory stick. It features reversible USB Type-C and USB Type-A connectors, making it compatible with smartphones, tablets, Macs, and computers. The value for money is outstanding, and the quality and condition of the product are top-notch. I absolutely love its design and how seamlessly it works. If you're in need of extra storage, I definitely recommend this product.

Great item, very handy.
Like many of us I have a phone full of videos and photos, happy memories and general stuff that I want to keep. I have also been dragooned in to covering a local no rules football event, Uppies & Downies, taking photos, videos, passing along updates etc, I also take along a camera for these events and find it easier to stick a USB drive into the phone and just copy everything off, it's easier than using internet backup and if the computer is already uploading 600 images from the camera faster as well. I also find it very useful for transferring images and music the other way, It's a compact device, has good transfer speed and plenty of space, just pops up on any of the 4 or 5 Android phones I've used it on and is worth the money. So good that I now have 2 :)

great for phone to PC transfers and storage. Bit fiddly plugging it in though
This is great, compact in size but spacious in storage. But...the retractor/slider feature is too weak and often you have to hold that into position as you're plugging the device in. This isn't always easy depending on where you're plugging it in.

A couple issues
When getting USB flash drives and SD cards I always trust Sandisk as they have never let me down for good storage devices. However I bought this one for my Dad as he wanted to back-up a ton of old photos onto a storage device. I thought this one would be good as one end fits his phone where his photos are saved. However the slider seems a bit finicky as when you insert either end into an output, it closes back on itself also the Type-C end is feels really janky as it feels like a struggle to insert it into a phone, and feels like it just barely fits into it, but any slight touch once its in will disconnect it.My final problem with it was when I was transferring other files from my PC onto it, and after being plugged in for a bit. I got REALLY HOT! I understand stuff like this gets heated if used for long enough, but non of my other flash drives ever got as hot as that one did. Maybe it's due to the 256GB storage, bit it still felt too hot.
