LodgeClassic Silicone Hot Handle Holder, Red, 5-5/8" L x 2"

I bought this to go with my iron griddle pan. It’s a must! It fits really well, is nice and thick so it makes the pan comfy to hold. There’s not a hint of heat coming through. Now I have this I wouldn’t use any of my cast iron frying pans without it. Your hands are too valuable to make that inevitable mistake of picking up a very hot pan and suffering the consequence.

Effective grip and the heat does not transmit. I have a set of three Lodge frying pans from small to large and it fits them all.

I ordered it this handle for my iron pan, which I kept grabbing with bare hand when hot. So it was really a necessity. The handle of my pan is really small and thin and when this handle arrived I was surprised with its size. I actually doubted it will stay on becouse there is such a disproportion in parameters. I was proven wrong.Firstly it took some effort to put it on the handle, which made me think it is quite unlikely it will slide off. Secondly the thermoisulation is perfect! Thirdly it doesn't change shape not burns with heat.I actually left it for good few weeks before posting this review to make sure it is working (or not).I am very happy with this purchase but I would be happier if the price would be lower - i suspect it's made in China so it doesn't cost that much to make. The price costed one star. Otherwise good product.

Good asset to go with the AMAZING lodge cast iron pan,as if you are not used to using a cast iron pan its easy to forget and the handle gets hot..This eliminates that so a good safety feature.

It's great to move the angle of the pan but of you need to lift to move to another rung it's not secure enough.Insulation wise, it's top notch.

So glad to have this. While it doesn't absorb all the heat (sometimes its still hot when we handle it), it is very helpful in handling the pan while cooking. Would recommend purchasing with each Lodge piece.

I have tried to use this several times with the Lodge deep and shallow pans. I'ts ok for using at the table so the pan can be held in one spot or turned but I would definitely not trust or recommend it to carry the hot pans. It's a very loose fit to the handle and could easily spli through resulting in burns and a big whole in the floor as those lodge pans are heavy!
