Actually pretty accurate! I calibrated it per instructions (after which it read pretty much the same as before, so maybe not necessary but fun) then tested my water, against a drop-test salt checker I bought and against my local pool store. To my surprise this meter was basically spot on pH and very close to salt, but the drop-test checker was way off. It will be getting returned, and this will be my new go-to!

I tested this against other individual testers I had and it was accurate and within close range of everything and slips easily into your pocket to carry around. Just don't forget to pull the cap off the bottom to test...lol.

Only complaint I have is the lid. If you don’t perfectly dry it off before snapping on the lid you’ll get mold. But it’s made well and does what I need it to do. Was sick of test strips and drops for my pool, this clearly and much more easily tells me the exact salt and pH level.

Works great for my pool and is accurate. Easy to see the screen and they provide extra tuning packets in case the reading goes off. It comes calibrated though.Would recommend, especially for quick occasional tests for pH and Chlorine levels.

Seems to do a good job checking salt levels, very accurate

This thing is JUNK. I ordered this to be able to do a quick check of my pool’s salt level and PH.First the salt level. Not even close to accurate. I checked my salt level using two different chemical methods against the salt level being reported by my Hayward salt generator. All three showed 2600 PPM. This thing showed 3100 PPM.Now on to PH. I measured the PH using a chemical test kit and compared it to two different test strips. The PH was 7.6. This thing showed a PH of 14+. The instructions said that it was calibrated from the factory and shouldn’t need calibration right out of the box. It does come with three different PH solutions to calibrate if needed. I started the calibration process and it would not recognize two of the three solutions.The only thing that is accurate on this tester is the water temp. I ordered this prior to opening my pool. Weather delayed us opening the pool a few weeks later than typical. By the time I got to use this tester and realized it was useless, it was too late to send back. Save your money. This thing is junk.

Nice for my salt pool. Easy to use for salinity and PH readings. I will say that I think the product last about a pool season before it needs replaced for recalibrated. I went about 14 months on the same one with out a recalibration and bought a new one to test against the old one and the old one was off by about 1.2 on PH. I’ve been rinsing the new one with fresh water before storage now to see if that prolongs its life.
