There's not a whole lot you can say about a kitchen knife, or chef's knife — if it looks good, cuts good, feels good, has nice balance, and has good heft, that's about all you can ask for, or say about it, right? And I do: all those qualities are there with this knife.There's only one caveat, and it probably doesn't matter to 99.9999999% of people, but for a literalist and a logician, it might: I'm skeptical about the "Greatest Dad" saying inscribed on it, because:1) How could anybody know that? "Favorite dad" is one thing, and hopefully everybody's dad is their favorite dad, but as for greatest dad, again I challenge that that could be determined in any conclusive way, and2) If this knife was only sold or given to the world's greatest dad, only one would be made, and thus either the company would quickly go out of business due to lackluster sales of its product, or that single copy of the knife would be so expensive as to be beyond the reach of all but billionaires. The children of the actual greatest dad in the world (even if he could be clearly identified) probably couldn't afford to purchase it, and they wouldn't steal it, because the children of the greatest dad in the world are certainly not thieves, am I right?Anyway, as far as just being a knife and cutting things goes (without making an issue out of what it says on it), I say this is a fine knife and worthy of being bought for your favorite dad (or yourself).
