I bought this to replace another unit that was physically identical but had lost its suction over time. I was a little disappointed in the magnet strength. It wasn't nearly as strong as the unit I was replacing and my phone would slowly drop down to the point where it would fall. To be fair, this piece was less expensive than the product it was replacing, and in the end I solved the problem by just taking the magnet off the outgoing mount and popping it on this one (it was an exact fit). 2-stars off because it really wasn't satisfactory until I cobbled together a fix.
