I bought this timer to time pickleball recreation matches when a lot of players are using a limited number courts. Typically matches are timed at 10-12 minutes per match. The timer which is USB rechargeable, holds a charge for hours of use. The controls are simple and accommodate countdown, timing, and laps. The display is quite large and on the brightest setting is visible in bright conditions and easily readable from 30-50 feet. The alarm is loud enough to eclipse that of a smart phone alarm. In the case of the countdown mode (which I use frequently) a reset after time expired is one touch easy. There is a built in pop-out tilt bracket, aggressive magnets (to attach to metal surfaces) and a snap up "picture hanger" type loop.I have carried this in my pocket and in my gear bag. It is white plastic, but sturdy and so far has managed to stay relatively clean and new looking. To me the most distinguishing feature is the bright large display, which is way larger than a range, microwave, or smart phone timer display.

The display is bright, readable, and looks great. You can adjust the brightness. You can set it to use a loud alarm, or silently vibrate.It has magnets on the back, which would be good for kitchen use -- could stick it to your fridge. The magnets are strong enough to hold the unit in place securely. (That sounds obvious, but a lot of things aren't like that)I use mine for working/studying. I work in 20- or 25-minute intervals, sometimes called "the Pomodoro Method." The countdown timer is great for that. There is also a nice flip-out stand for desktop use. Again, perfect for work/study. Silent mode is great if you're working late and don't want to wake up the family or roommate.

The reason for a 4 star is because of the size. I admit I missed the 5in display corner to corner in the images. I feel the word LARGE and the images are misleading. I wish there was a lock function, if I move it around it is easy to bump a button and then the time gets stopped or changed. If you don’t care about that this timer is great.It is easy to see and use. The brightness and alarm settings work great for different scenarios. The magnet holds strong on the fridge.

I was looking for a timer that will count up to at least 12 hours. Most timers seem to only count up to 99 minutes. I was really pleased when I found this timer.*It has large, easy-to-read numbers.*They give you a choice of a few colors for the numbers…nice to have some color other than white. However, each timer comes in only one color. Would have been nice if you could change the color whenever you want on the timer, rather than having to choose one color and that being the only color you’ll ever have on your timer.*Can stand on a flat surface or be hung up.*One-button start, stop and reset for counting up.*Easy, straightforward way to set, start, stop and reset the countdown feature.

Helps keep time between exercises. great device.

I like the rechargeable characteristics. My last timer would use batteries in 1 month. Very annoying spending so much money for a battery only to replace it 1-2 months later.The power saving feature is my favorite part, a little redundant since it has a LED off switch as well but maybe that turns off more than just the lights so not a big deal. In power saving mode you just press a button and it wakes up without performing the function of the button, great attention to detail there. The buttons are not annoying and don't beep every time you press them. The LED screen is VERY easy to read and has a great contrast. The magnet holds the timer to the fridge very well and the buttons are soft and easy enough to press with 1 finger if you need to. Beeper is nice and loud, you can easily hear it 3 rooms away. Pressing any button will silence it.The device also comes with a fold out stand so you can set it on a surface and a fold out hanger so you can hang it on hooks. They are both decently designed and will function adequately, but the stand does flex with very little pressure applied to it and the hanger is attached with 2 pin sized rounded joints. I wouldn't be able to say what could happen but being that flimsy it's an easy way for it to break.Overall this product is amazing. I don't know how long the battery will last because it came with a chargee and it charges with USB-C so that probably means it's going to charge very quickly and the battery will probably last a long time.

Updated Review - Feb2023EDIT NOT: Finally...The Perfect TimerSadly after only about two months of use averaging about four times a week, the Start/Stop button has failed. You'll notice the same complaint from a few others reviewers. I asked for a refund instead of a replacement for this reason. The buttons are just kind of loose and floppy without much spring to them, so I'd expect it to happen again.Back on the hunt for a good timer.=============================================Original Review - Oct2022Finally...The Perfect TimerI have purchased three timers in the last 12mos. Finally have the one I was needing.Big easy to read display regardless of viewing angle. Most timers are LCD displays that are only readable at direct angles.It has generous max of 10hrs up or down. And when doing countdown, it automatically starts counting up at the end so you know how long since you missed the countdown.I like that it's a rechargeable battery. Not sure how long it lasts but doesn't matter to me. I keep in plugged in via the USB charging cable. Even you if forget to charge it, doesn't matter since you can just plug it in and use it while it's charging. It has a display auto-off feature for battery saving that is selectable to be only when not in use or even when you're using it.

Love the dual timers and count up after end of timer. The magnets are a little weak. Had to add additional magnets to get it to stay on side of fridge.
