Great germination rate
Started a few of these last month and they germinated well and are thriving with minimal care. I'm looking forward to growing these all winter in my cold frame!

Hard to find
It appears that turnips are out of style judging by how difficult it was to find turnip seeds! So happy to find a quality product - heirloom seeds, not a GMO. I decided to grow my own turnips since I can't buy them at my local store. Haven't harvested the crop yet so can't speak as to flavor but the are growing so all good.

Non GMO Seeds
These are non-GMO seeds, which are the only type I want to get. These are turnip seeds - the heirloom golden globe variety. These are organic and you get about 500 seeds. I haven't tried these yet, but am planning on growing in a raised bed. I want to sow these in late summer for a fall crop, as it states on the seed package. I can't wait to try my hand at these! They provide growing tips on the package. I visited the website and I'm impressed with their professionalism. They have an organic vegetable starter kit with 9 types of veggies that I am planning on getting for next year.

A Great Cold Hardy Turnip that Can also be Grown for Its Greens
I ordered these to grow not only in the shoulder seasons, but in my covered raised bed winter garden in zone 7a. These are some hardy cold resistant turnips with edible greens and do well in early Spring and late Fall, as well as a winter garden. These just don’t tolerate the heat of summer all that well and they tend to bolt in the heat. This variety can provide greens all through the winter months, and I am glad that the provided seeds are USDA Organic, Non-GMO, and grown in the USA. One item I particularly am impressed with this seed packet is that it is printed with a Packed-for date. This is something that so many other brands seem to omit from their packaging these days. It’s good to know that these seeds are fresh. This turnip has a sweet but mild peppery taste, and it works great for storing, canning, and freezing. They are best eaten when 3 to 4-inches in diameter, but they’ll still remain tasty until they get quite large. Be aware that these prefer cooler conditions, so it is best to plant in the early spring or in autumn, so that they are not growing in the hottest part of the season. Once established, they will tolerate a light frost.I particularly like these for their greens. You can either cut the greens for salads when harvesting the turnips or cooked like spinach. With 500-seeds in this packet, you can get a lot of seeds. I find they are perfect for the winter garden, covered rows in Zone-7a, so that I can harvest greens all year long.
