Saved my me from buying a replacement microwave!

The product looks good and is of the same thickness as the original which was a good start. The sizes are very accurate when purchasing, so this made purchasing it very easy as you know it will fit. My microwave is a Caple CM116 and it fitted perfectly but I suspect this fits dozens of others. There was a knack I wanted to pass on to fitting it as the waveguide could easily be bent. After about 10 minutes of trying to get this to fit and knowing that I could easily snap the guide lugs. I had the thought of putting a pen in the centre of the waveguide to bend it over with my thumb and fingers. This made fitting it very easy, just slide the pen out and it pops home nice and flat.

I had noticed that my microwave wasn't performing well and would pump out smoke when in use. I did a little research into what might be the issue and realised that there is a small piece of silver card that directs the waves. Mine had aged and burnt (as you can see in the first picture) which meant that the microwaves weren't refracting correctly (could be other terminology!)I found the exact size replacements and bought a pack with a few in so that I can keep them handy for next time. They simply slide into the space where the old one has come from and everything works as it should.I am sure many microwaves end up getting scrapped when this happens, but a cheap repair can keep them going for a lot longer.

Our microwave started sparking and popping randomly and we thought we’d have to get a new one. Bought these and have had it installed for about a year now. Saved us tons of money and helped us keep our microwave. They are durable, silver, function as they should and don’t have a smell to them.

It is important to have the measurements of the old wave guide pretty precise before you order the replacements . We have a Paderno microwave that was only a few years old. We really like the quality of this microwave. While warming up some frozen fruit one morning got a lightning flash coming from inside the microwave warming area, buzzing/humming noise for a couple of seconds like something was shorting out, and when I opened the door there was a slight smokey smell. Did a bit of research and decided to try replacing the wave guide. It was looking a little discoloured. We bought these from Amazon. Perfect fit. We have been using the microwave now for over a week since we installed the new wave guide and there has been no problems. Hopefully that was all it was. Just a new wave guide needed. The new wave guide from Amazon was easy to install (matter of seconds) and all is good so far. Very pleased we did not have to go out and spend another $200+ on a reasonably good quality microwave to replace this one. Nice change in todays world to find an affordable fix to ease your day along a little bit. I would certainly recommend trying this solution if you run into a similar type of encounter while using your microwave.
