The media could not be loaded.  See the video for details. The UV lights on this are really nice and the lid is separate separating this unit off from the competition. The lid has a rechargeable battery built in. But this and all Ultra Violet (UV) light sterilizing solutions on the market only sterilize and disinfect from the top down of whatever you’re sterilizing in it. Only the top of what is being sterilized will be sterilized. You will need to turn over anything you want to sterilize to clean all of it. That being said, all of the competitive products have the same issue all of them need to rethink the design so that the UV will clean from the top and the bottom.I like the blinking light for 10 minutes but a digital Countdown interface like other competitive products would be better. The product has a one year warranty and is said to have good support, I have not confirmed this.The light is always on for this when plugged in. I wish it turned off when done, seems like a waist of power. The device does clean well, I wish it would beep when done. The UV can be ran without running the ultrasonic cleaner. This is helpful when cleaning using cleaning tablets. The water heats up from the UV waves when cleaning something. (this is expected). The device comes with a nice removable plastic basket weave tray that enables the ultrasonic waves to penetrate the tray to clean whatever you are cleaning. The device is on the small side. False teeth may not fit the tray, but may fit the device without the tray. I have had two competitive units that stopped working after a month or so, so having good support and a warranty is important. This only comes in white which makes it get dirty easier. I wish it came in black and dark blue.Overall I like this product, recommended.

UPDATE: This little device is a miracle! Teenagers are wearing their retainers without complaining. The vibration and UV light combo eliminated all funny smells and taste and leaves the retainers sparkling. The company's customer service was super responsive and issued a full refund for the partially defective device we had received. Because this device actually has my teenagers wearing their retainers, I will be purchasing this device again and have updated my review to be 5/5 stars. Jewelry stained the bottom of the machine (looks like rust) and the UV lights in the lid do not work, never worked. Would like to replace the machine or lid. Please contact me.

I've been using this ultrasonic cleaner for a couple of months now and it's been perfect. I bought it specifically because the lid is detached. With my previous one, the lid was attached to the device and after opening/closing it so many times a day, the lid became loose and broke off in less than 6 months. This product is compact, fairly quiet when in use, and easy to clean.

It seemed to clean my retainers well. I did not see murky water or any dirt in the pot. Hopefully it clened all bacteria off them. They seemed to feel clener and smoother. My toothbrush head did not fit in the well.The instructions were not very clear in English. I am confused whether I leave the machine plugged in all the time. And if I need to charge the UV light top and how often. I'd rather put it away..thank you

I personally heard about ultrasonic retainer cleaners from my dentist because they wanted me to bring my retainers in so they could clean it with their ultrasonic machine, and I had the thought, "well, I would like to do that on my own at home!". So off to Amazon I went! I found this one, which had a reasonable price in my price range, a good UV number listed, and fast shipping, so I was happy to get it! Then I got it and set it up (which was very very simple), and the instructions were really easy too! I just filled it with water and put my retainers in there for the 10 minute deep clean, and BOY! I am thrilled that I got this! This is the cleanest my retainers have been at home! I like to use the denture cleaners that you just soak the retainers in, but even those don't make them as clean as this does!It gives me a NOTICEABLE/VISIBLE clean difference and I'm so happy, I can't believe I didn't have this at one point, and would recommend for EVERYONE who wears retainers to help keep them clean!

This compact cleaner is great. I love the removal tray, however if it was digital this would be great! I'm very disappointed that it stopped working shortly after I started using it.

Came on time, packed well

For whatever reason, my son has had a problem with brushing his retainer every day. It was gross to say the least. I think he just did not want to touch it with his sensory issues. Once we purchased this ultrasonic cleaner, it's solved the issue. Clean every day. Drop it in the water, push a button and let it do the work. And it does - the retainer is spotless. Plus, his retainer is different from the plastic tray style that my daughter has. It has a removable basket for the two different kinds of retainers, plus can be used for other items like Sonicare toothbrush heads, jewelry, etc. Very pleased with this purchase.
