I've used mustard powder for years, buying Colman's off the shelf at our local grocery store. It is the only brand of mustard powder they carry.The Colman's powder is not only expensive (it's imported from the U.K.), but also tends to disappear from the store shelves for weeks and sometimes months on end. Why? I don't know.To address the disappearing problem, I would stock up on Colman's whenever it did appear back on the shelf.Recently, my stock of mustard powder was running low while our local grocery store was in the midst of a multi-week powder drought. I finally said, "Enough, already! Let's see if I can buy this stuff from Amazon!"I was a little surprised to discover that I could indeed buy mustard powder from Amazon. I selected this brand, Lane's, simply because it was the cheapest. I wondered whether it would taste terrible.Well, I'm pleased to report that I like the taste of Lane's mustard powder better than Colman's! Lane's powder has a slightly milder, richer, fuller taste. It's just plain better! Count me as a very satisfied customer—at least, based on the first container of Lane's mustard powder that I've received. I'll certainly be buying more.

Good seasoning, the bottle size was perfect, and the price was good. I've already used it twice.

More expensive than cayenne but it goes a lot further and it even has some of that fresh habanero flavor. I've been able to cut out a bottle of el yucateco green every two days with this stuff. Not that el yucateco green isn't incredible sauce but it gets pricey at my level of consumption.

I heard about Lane’s 50/50 salt/pepper mix on a YouTube video (maybe American Smoke?), and that’s how I normally season my briskets, so I figured I’d give it a try. The mix is perfect, course ground pepper and salt, not too big or too small - just right! In the pics, I did add a little Meat Church Texas sugar rub to the Lanes.I liked the Lanes mix so much that I’ve already purchased a second bottle and have added it to my subscribe and save schedule! Excellent product, thank you!!!

This product tastes just fine, and it's a good spice additive for food. However, I noticed it was not nearly as hot as some other habanero powder I'd had. When I smelled it right from the container, it was paprika that I smelled, not habanero. I looked at the ingredient list, and it did say "other spices".This is not a bad mixture, but it's not marketed as a mix, and clearly the paprika is a cheaper diluting ingredient. If you're making a mix, market it as a mix and let people know what they're actually buying.Edit: I've bumped this from 3 to 4 stars. The company contacted me to try to resolve this, and wound up refunding my money. This was very generous on their part, and far more than I asked for or expected. So kudos to them. I will buy from them again, and got good value for my money (even pre refund). But the original problem remains, and hence the 4, and not 5, stars.

Good product. Flows easily, consistent grind, peppery! Made a great bark on my smoked brisket.

I've pretty much always used coarse salt when cooking, but it seems that every "major" brand that I had previously used has changed the texture and size of their granules. I know to most that salt is salt, but I feel like I can more precisely control the amount when it's of a certain coarseness. Lane's is perfect for me! Always keep some in a container beside the stove and a couple up in the pantry. This even works great as a finishing salt. Definitely recommend this to everyone, and don't forget to try their other offerings, you won't be disappointed!!

I use this to make many of my Rubs. It has a great flavor and arrived fresh, with no lumps. Glad I found this brand will buy again.
