Truly sour candy

The most sour candy I've ever had. It's kind of like when you go from low end hot sauce to a real hot sauce. Good quality, uniform size. Lick off the insanely sour outer coating and the candy starts to release sour foam.Really good but you should only eat 1-3 every so often. You will hurt the inside of your mouth if you play around haha. Dropped in a martini was a nice surprise.

Pleasantly sour!

It's awesome that a simple hard candy with sour coating can compete with the seemingly more creative options out there in the sour candy sphere! The design is simple, but they deliver on the sour factor.Based on the reviews, I didn't know what to expect, so I decided to limit myself to one of these each day (to avoid burning my mouth) and on my first time trying, I held it and licked it rather than putting the whole thing in my mouth. Day 1 was crazy sour, not gonna lie--I don't think I could have handled eating the whole thing at once.Days 2, 3, and 4--I found my bravery and I've been popping them right in my mouth without worry. Still just 1 per day, because my gauge of these is that 2 would be pushing it for me. With blue raspberry baby bottle pops, I can eat 1 per day, but if I've gone for 1.5 or 2, I would start to get burns and have to wait for my mouth to heal enough that further sour foods would be okay. If you get an acid burn in your mouth, even just eating things with salt can burn in the hours that immediately follow. The flavor of the hard candy is just OK. The lime reminded me of a bank lollipop, but if it was just really well made. There's still that vibe of "this tastes more like the rind of a lime than the fruit itself," but their recipe must be better for my tastes because I'm not avoiding the flavor. If the underlying candy could have more interesting flavors, I would probably like this product even more, but as it stands, the basic few that you get are still worth the cost and wait time for delivery in my opinion. While I waited for these to arrive, I was getting so excited that I started buying commonly-available brands of other sour candies from the store, and I kept walking away feeling unsatisfied. The Barnett's Mega Sour Fruits have finally satisfied the craving for me. I'm still going to eat the whole bag probably without sharing!!

Huge clumps of sticky candy

These are indeed sour. Amazingly sour.BUT...They were so sticky that numeroua clumps of 5-10 candies were stuck together in the bag, which each clump also stuck together. The bag was one big sticky mess of candies all stuck togetherr. There was no way to pull them apart with my hands. Yes, I could separate them with a hammer but they simply split into fragments or chunks of multiple candies, not individual candies.I tried sharing these unusual candies with my friends but they all declined saying they looked gross. They asked if the candies had all melted together during transit.NO REFUND OR RETURNS was the policy when I made my purchase. Beware before you make yours.

***Nice alternative to Warheads***

I like sour. I drink lemon juice for pleasure.I wouldn't exactly say these are devilishly sour. They're indeed sour. More sour than a Warhead. But not insanely sour. I was nervous to try one after seeing some of these reviews and they are not as bad as I was expecting. Similar to taking some lemon/lime juice and squirting it in your mouth and letting it sit there for about 30 seconds.Sour hits you for a bit and then goes away like a normal Warhead. Main difference is that the center is filled with more sour so after a while you will eat away at the sugary part and get some sour fizz once you expose a hole to the center. My biggest gripe about these candies is the broken glass texture. I would like to eat more because I enjoy the flavor, but the sour layers are so coarse it is like they are coated with 40-grit sandpaper and it destroys your tongue. I could easily see why some customers complain that these cause their tongues to bleed.

Actually Sour, mouth may never recover

I, like other reviewers, have been looking for a sour candy that can completely satisfy my sour cravings. I walked to the candy store the other day here in town and I asked for the most sour thing they had. Warheads and toxic waste, both things that I can eat a lot of with no problem. They are weak.I got these in the mail and they looked inconspicuous enough. I opened the pack and popped one into my mouth. I didn't even make it a minute in before I had to take it out of my mouth for a reprieve. It was so insanely sour. I tried to finish it but found my tongue to be a bit raw after just 60 seconds! I normally don't get the tongue pain with sour candy until after a whole pack or two. I still do not understand how it's somehow more sour than just eating pure citric acid, but it is. I ate another one today to completion and found that while I was able to make it through, my tongue does feel as if I had eaten a whole pack of sour skittles. It's nice that they put some baking soda in the middle to neutralize the acid a bit, it's like a little elementary school volcano project in your mouth.Overall:- Extremely sour, if you think warheads are weak, I urge you to try these.- Very flavorful after the sour "runs out"- Pretty chill ingredients list, just flavor, sugar, and citric and malic acid- Should probably be classified as a chemical weapon for importation reasons- No regrets, I've wanted to be overpowered by sour from a candy forever and this does it.
