A riveting and extremely well written book about the architecture and history of the heart of Bombay! A must read by any Bombay-ite, student of architecture and highly recommended for the tourist visiting as well. It highlights the much known fact that like any European city Mumbai has some of the Finest 20th century architecture at par with any small or large European city. Unfortunately our indifferent Municipality is blind to its potential.

Great book if you want to know about the buildings in Mumbai/Bombay and the city. This book was delivered to me in one day, on a Sunday, though I paid for a two day service. Extremely happy with the purchase!

Excellent book with beautiful photographs. It presents the history covered clearly and distills with insight the unique contribution of British architectural projects and buildings of the 1860's to 1900 in the urban core of Mumbai. Also an excellent guide book for walking tours, due to its compact size and clear format.
