It looks okay as an ornament.
As a garden feature it looks okay, but although the spinning cups underneath work, the vane itself rarely moves much in the wind, even though it is mounted perfectly vertically. It's cute enough - just don't rely on its wind direction to go on TV to read the weather report afterwards!

This seems to be a good buy quality wise but can’t offer an opinion on setting it up etc. as It’s been bought as a present!

Don't waste your cash
The quality of this item is very poor. The connected pole is bent. The welds are very bad and the spindle that supports the wind cups and vaine is far too small. The winds cups hang at approx 30 degrees and can not spin in the wind. Don't waist your cash. If the postage was not so high it would be sent back. Not even worth 1 star.
