Great buy!

Bought to take fishing. For the price I wasn’t expecting much but it’s absolutely superb! Did my needs, matches my previous victirinox for a fraction of the price! So good I bought another for around the house!

Bargain basement?

Looking to replace my victorinox small pocket knife that had basic functions blade scissors toothpick etc I found this on line and pondered over whether to buy it ..!Well I'm glad I did. Ok it's bigger than my old knife with more functions but it's well built (so far) scissors are superior and with airline rules relaxed it will travel..Bargain basement may be but I'm now thinking that Victorinox have been trading on their name and people's good nature for far too long. One third of price! No brainer.. I may look at the Rolson too ... Sorry not sorry Victorinox brand name against commonsense you lose!

It’s ok

It’s ok but the tools are really stiff to move. Also the scissors within the multitool broke almost immediately

For the money it's OK.

I already own an all singing and dancing Victorinox multifaceted Swiss Army knife so why would I buy this one by Draper?Well it was out of both curiosity as well as convenience though I knew it was unlikely to be as good as the genuine SA knife for the price paid but for what I wanted it for it was ideal and looking at it it's not bad!I take my Victorinox with me wherever I go as it is attached to my house keys so it resides downstairs when not in use ready to go with me on journeys. It's only the second one I've owned in over 30 years and the only reason I had to buy a second one was that my first one was confiscated by security at Pisa airport in 2010 after I accidentally left it in my hand luggage before boarding the plane.Occasionally, just occasionally I need to use a knife upstairs at home for odds and ends so I thought for the price, I might as well keep one upstairs as I have health issues and going up and downstairs is a bit of a bind for me.Now to the Draper. I had no illusions as to the quality of the knife but surprisingly it isn't badly made especially for the price, in fact it's very decent. The tools seem to work well enough. The scissors are very similar to those of my genuine knife, maybe not quite as sharp but they work as they cut paper cleanly so nothing to complain about and ideal for those intricate little emergency cuts. The single glaring issue for me was that the knife blade itself didn't have a ground sharpened edge, it was rounded and not sharpened so that needed attention.I could have returned it but for what it cost and the hassle involved I decided to keep it and hone the edge myself which I'm part way through as I write this.Do I expect it to stay as sharp as my genuine one? If I'm honest NO but it will rarely be used so as long it cuts when I want it to then that's ok for me and after use I can always sharpen it ready for the next time I need to use it.The tools seem ok and don't feel loose in fact some are a bit on the tight side to open so watch your nails but so too were the tools on my genuine SA knife at first so I'm sure this one will loosen up too but as long as the knife and scissors cut that will be the most use it gets from me.The toothpick and tweezers are a bit tight and difficult to extract but they too should loosen. They're similar to my genuine SA knife but don't expect the tweezers to do anything other than pull out a small splinter. That's all I've ever used mine for in 30 odd years of using them. In fact most of the accessories on my genuine knife I've never or rarely used and other than for cutting or for the nail file, that's all that it will get used for but they're nice to have in an emergency. So is it worth the money? Yes it is. I'm happy with it for what I've paid. If you want a multi purpose knife for everyday use then I'd say you'd be better off with a genuine SA knife but for having a multi function knife to hand for occasional use it would probably be ideal for most people and at the price you really can't go wrong.
