It’s nice loud ticking lets me know something is still cooking.The nostalgic bell brings back memories of my grandmother’s kitchen.While it’s not as precise as a digital timer, it’s never been off by more than a minute. Just make sure you twist it to its maximum time setting and then dial it back to your desired time each time you use it. That action fully winds the timer.

This timer works for me.It is easy to set & easy to read.The timer makes a very slight tick-tick-tick sound while it working.The alarm kinda sounds like a bell when the time is up ... not too loud and not too soft.
