Perception TrueFit Kayak Cockpit Cover - for Sit Inside Kayaks

Storing my Kayak outside on a home made rack, I wanted to keep the spooders out. So long as a critter doesn't chew threw it, this will last for years. It's super snug and once it's on, it won't slide off.

I was surprised that it lasted as long as it did. My kayak sits outside year round and this cover is exposed to the elements 24/7. This year, year 5 it has started to dry rot but I could get one more year out of it if I patch it. My only complaint is that in the beginning and the first few times you put it on, it will take 2 people. It’s a very tight fit. Good for keeping bugs and water out!!! I would definately buy again!!!

Got these after storing our yaks in the barn for the winter, critters decided to use my kayak as a toilet so we needed covers to keep em out! These fit like a glove, are water proof and will be nice for camping etc to keep water out without have to flip em. Will also help keep the inside clean during storage. 4 stars cuz the price is a little high for what they are but overall exactly what we were looking for!

Does what it's intended to do, covers the cockpit. There's a little plastic piece of clear tube behind the cord knot at one end. It's about an inch long. I had to cut that off to get it to fit ( the tube not the cord, used a seatbelt cutter) . ......And the cover only fits one way so if it didn't fit, you might have it on backwards. . I think that piece was to fit a slightly smaller boat. P8 on a carolina 12 and once I figured out which direction it went on and removed the tube it fit great.So, after many miles and many trips the cover is holding up awesome. I have traveled hundreds of highway miles with the cover on the kayak while on my racks at 80 mph (threaded through the tie-down just in case) and it stays on perfectly and is still as tight as it was new

Have a little patience. At first this is quite tight and difficult to get on. But, once you've done it a couple times, it goes on fairly easily and is a nice tight fit. Keeps out additional moisture and critters!

I went by the outside measurement of the cockpit coaming and it’s perfect. OG ‘02 Carolina. 34.5”x20” cockpit coaming, sizeP7. It’s a great cover. It’s not waterproof, but the boat lives on its side or upside down so it’s fine. No worries about feeling a spider on my leg when I’m on the water!

Great fit and easy to get on the kayak. Like the number of sizes available. Kept the water out of cockpit when I had to store outside in rain while on vacation. However after only two uses there is a hole in the cover where it wraps around the lip of my kayak. Not sure if it is a defect or just wore out quickly. Very disappointed and would not recommend.
