I do not have any formal swim training, but after herniating a disc in my lower back, I took up swimming to rehab my back, strengthen my core, and for general stress relief.I took four half hour lessons at the tender age of 51. And I'm sort of addicted to all the fun things to keep the swim interesting as I swim laps for an hour five to six times a week. These fit perfectly in my palm and are easy to control. I've only had them a few weeks and I use them about 20 minutes or so each swim.Every friend who has tried them, wants a pair. I'm seriously considering giving some for Christmas. I like them that much. They will improve your stroke and form, work your upper body and oh happiness, isolate your triceps and work them like nothing else you've tried. Affordable and fun. Only negative might be how long the finger and wrist loops/bands are going to last. Will keep this review updated.

Ergonomically fits my hand with the right size. It propels smoothly in the water and it forces my palm to stretch straight when hitting the water so improving the stroke. However the rubber band is hurting my fingers a bit for long usage if I want a tight fit. It's not easily adjusted but it's okay if you don't need adjustment frequently. Overall I would say it's a quality paddle comparing to similar product.

I use them for exercise in pool. They give just enough resistance. I have used the paddles before but way more expensive and sometimes too much resistance. Love them

I have been swimming for over 50 years and using Large TYR Catalyst paddles for most of them. Recently I have developed shoulder pain and decided it was time to "gear down", and I selected the Medium Nemesis Contours, and am glad I did.The design gives immediate feedback if stroke entry (freestyle) is too deep, and the contour design allows enough pull versus resistance for a good workout and they did not affect my shoulder at all. I used them for freestyle, back and breaststrokes and they worked well for all of them. In particular I liked how the enter on the backstroke. I will be hanging up my Catalysts as I have a new stroke paddle.

These are great and an improvement on what we used on the swim team a million years ago. They provide resistance which is super for fitness and stroke precision.However, I was enjoying myself so much that I injured my biceps tendon. Ouch.These are great bit be careful not to overdo like I did.
