safety catch holder for wheelchair
We really needed to restraint or I would have sent it back. Everytime you use it you have to manually release it. It does not self adjust like the ones we have on the other points of his wheelchair in the van. All are the same brand. The one we bought was a replacement because the release pin had broken.

Wheelchair restraint
We have a handicap van and transport my granddaughter in her wheel chair so you need 4 restraints to hold the chair. The one I replaced looks exactly the same and secures to the floor track effectively. Only real difference in operation is that it takes 2 hands to deploy the hook. One to hold the red release button and one to pull the hook out. And then push red button again so it will take up the slack. The other ones it's a one handed job. Just works a little easier but not a show stopper.

Retractor requires two hands to operate. Not very handy for handicapped person. Problems develop with unlocking lever after extended use (lever falls off). NO repair service available after warranty perion ends.
