Is this produce non- gmo?  does it have corn in it?

The label doesn't state that there is no corn although it does list a host of other ingredients that it doesn't contain; No soy, No GMO, etc. Since Vitamin C can be derived from corn sources, it is a guessing game as to whether this product is corn derived. Although this is a great product for many, anyone allergic to corn,  must conduct more research to determine whether there is corn or not. I might be wrong, but personally I would assume that corn is present otherwise why not list it  along with the other ingredients that aren't included?

It says 500 mg but by taking 2 your getting 1000 mg correct?  what is the breakdown of rutin and Hesperidin in mg?

Hi Patty,  In answer to your email question;  If you take the 1000 mg each day, the amount of Citrus Bioflavonoids Complex amounts to 400mg per 2 capsules.  Citrus Bioflavonoids Citrus limon fruit,Sweet Orange, Tangerine, Lime, Lemon, Acerola, Rutin, Hesperidin, Complex Citrus spp. fruit,Naturally Occuring Vitamin C Metabolites.  Metabolites help enhance the absorption of Vitamin C by your white blood cells, an important part of your Immune System. The recommended serving is 2 per day.  I take 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening.  I strongly believe this is the main reason that I have not had a cold, sore throat, or any other contagious illness for many years. Chemically vitamin C is an acid ascorbic acid which many people do not tolerate well, they experience ulcer pains. Ester-C substitutes a milder form of "buffered" vitamin C called calcium ascorbate which is acidically neutral and will not upset the stomach, with the additional benefit that you get a good dose of bioavailable Calcium as a calcium supplement. This company product also contains citrus  bioflavonoids such as rutin and hesperidin. Bioflavonoids have been used by alternative medicine practitioners to enhance the action of vitamin C, and claim that it supports blood circulation, enhances the antioxidant properties of Vitamin C, and may be beneficial in treating allergies, viruses, or arthritis, a claim that has no current FDA approval.  The name "Ester-C" is a marketing gimmick which aims to garner consumer acceptance by claiming "patented" status. The patent is simply a registration of the name "Ester-C" with the patent office, no health benefit is mentioned or implied in this patent of a candy formulation that makes no mention of bioflavonoids. This branding strategy is smoke and mirrors since neither of the unusual compounds cited in the patent, 4-hydroxy-5-methyl-3(2H)-furanone 
or 3-hydroxy-kojic acid are found in any of the health product formulations. Ownership of the Ester-C Company than owns the brand has been tossed around on Wall Street like
a ping-pong ball between Barclays, BofA, Credit Suisse, Carlyle Group, JPMorgan Chase Bank and the like according to ownership records on file at googles patent records for US patent 6878744.
