EltaMD UV Physical Tinted Sunscreen for Face, SPF 41 Tinted Sunscreen, 100% Mineral Active Sunscreen

Love it. Best tinted sweat resistant sunscreen out there and beleive me. I've tried many. It's difficult to find a brand without the harsh chemicals and even Elta MD has some options that include those chemicals but this one seems to be the lesser of evils. It has remained a staple in my skin protection regimen. I have Albinism, dry skin due to sebhorric dermatitis and in general very sensitive skin. I've tried many other brands includong Sunbum mineral tinted face, which was not the correct pigment and rubbed off very easily. This is the one I come back to again and again. I use it at the beach and when I go hiking in the mountains. It can cause increased dryness which is why I ventured elsewhere for a bit but ended coming back to it because nothing else compared to the sweat/water resistance, the ease of application, the pigment and honestly, the coverage- like others have stated, it does seem to cover blemishes very well. **Tip - I started applying a moisturizer before applying the sunscreen and then again at night after I've washed my face which seems to buffer the dryness. I wore this every day for 10 days hiking in Italy and my face didnt react until I finished the trek, which is impressive! You need to use a more hardcore moisturizer though, such as the Clinique 100H moisture surge!Also I want to point out that becauae I have Albinism and do not tan at all, I am living proof that this sunscreen works. I dont think people realize how often you actually need to apply sunscreen. It's not a one and done thing. Read the label, do your research and protect your skin!

I have used a couple of different elta MD face sunscreens, and I really like this one. It's 100% mineral and pregnancy approved, and it's a plus that it comes in a 3oz bottle for a similar price to 1.7oz options. It's lightweight and not greasy, but still moisturizing. I do wish there was more of a tint though. It's super sheer, so it's mostly just preventing a white cast. That is great, but it really doesn't give much coverage in my opinion.

This is now my backup sunscreen, which quite honestly, I was thrilled to find. I've tried dozens of mineral sunscreens. Other than my favorite, an Australian brand, and some goopy zinc ones, they all sting my uber sensitive skin, but to different degrees. This one stings very,very slightly.I can wear it though, which is a relief, since my favorite one is frequently unavailable in my shade.The pluses of this one are that it goes on super smooth and silky, and sits well under makeup. I doubt most people would find it even mildly irritating.The big minus is ... THE PRICE! It's more than twice the price of my number one choice! And for me, the mild sting is another minus, but again, I don't think that would be the case for most people.Also, the tint doesn't actually provide any coverage or blurring effect for my skin, which I missBut, all in all, a wearable, high quality product.

Updated formula? I'm not sure, but the last tube of this I had felt like the tint was a bit darker. I'm actually glad the most recent tube I got is a bit lighter because it blends perfectly with my fair skin tone and makes it look amazing! It's not supposed to provide any real coverage, but for some reason it evened out my redness and even made my under eye circles look better. Like, what? Every other tinted mineral I've tried leaves me coming back to this one. It's matte and not sticky, which seems to be the theme of all other tinted mineral spfs out there. Thank you, Elta MD!!!

I not only use for sunscreen, I also use as a light base cover up. Great for summer instead of applying heavy base makeup.

Definitely a staple in my skincare routine!Highly recommend!
