The balance bird of knifes
Do you remember those birds that were weighted at the beak and you could rest them on the tip of your finger and they would balance there like they were floating? This knife is the balance bird for men and women who like a functional excellence. Is it big? yes. Does it flip open nicely? Yes. Does it look like a velociraptor decided to make a knife? Yes. This thing is just plain cool. I’m a huge fan of white and the red accents are a perfect color combo. I do wish they wouldn’t have coated the knife blade but beggars can’t be choosers. The only thing that would have made this knife even better for me was if it had an axis lock with thumb studs. But again the frame lock works exactly as it should. It has some heft so when you deploy the knife you’ve got to give it a little extra flipping power but dang the noise it makes when the frame lock engages sounds awesome. I’ve never owned a knife by CJRB but it looks like I’m going to start exploring other knifes in their line up. I’m a fan. Buy the knife and thank me later.

Surpisingly Good Knife
I purchased this knife more as a novelty, but now it's my everyday carry.Pros:- Edge retention: The biggest surprise was how well this knife retains a sharp edge, and even more-so, how easy it is to sharpen and hone the knife back to a refined cutting edge.- Balance: The cleaver-like blade allows me to grip further up the handle, onto the blade for more controlled and careful downward cuts.- Frame lock & Grip: The frame lock is durable and easy to manipulate with one hand. The textured grip could be more textured in my opinion, but the handle is easy to clean and the belt clip is nice.- Smooth: Opening and collapsing the blade is smooth and fluid.Cons:- Moveable Pocket Clip: I carry my knife on my left pocket, so it would be nice to have the option of moving the pocket clip to the other side of the handle. This would make it easier to draw and open the knife without having to orient the knife in my hand first.- Spring Assist: While opening the knife is very smooth, and I can often speed the opening with inertia, having the option of spring assisted opening would definitely improve the knife.- Serration edging: I like having a small portion of and pocket knife to have serrations for tougher cord/rope cutting jobs or scoring wire insulation for stripping. A short section of serration edging on this knife would help to improve it for utility use.Overall, an excellent purchase for the money invested.
