Captain Toady's

This product was excellent on a fish sandwich! I usually make my own Tartar sauce with chopped pickles and mayo. I did not have the dill. I would like to try the Horseradish one on a Roast beef sandwich.

One of the Best Dill Pickle TarTar Sauces money can buy. If you love the bold flavor Dill pickles in a thick creamy TarTar Sauces this is definitely the brand to purchase. Tastes amazing on all types of fish and chips. The only downside is it tastes so good the small jar doesn't last very long.. Will definitely order more in the future. Thank you for supporting America and it's Armed Forces!!

I admit it: I picked this brand because of the toad on the label. It’s not extra special, but it’s certainly not bad.

This is one of the better Tartar sauces I’ve tried. It has a nice dill flavor to it. However, I placed my Amazon order on March 19 and didn’t even think to check the expiration date when it arrived. I put it in my fridge and used it for the first time about a week later which is when I noticed the expiration date is 4/25/25. I emailed the customer service support for Toady’s but have not heard back from them. I assume by now that they won’t be replying back to me. It seems ridiculous that I was sent an item with such a close expiration date with only a month to use it basically before it goes bad. There’s no way I can use an entire jar of tartar sauce in 1 month. It’s also unfortunate the company never replied to my email as I think anyone would be upset with such a short timeframe to use the product before it expires. Just beware you might receive an item with a close expiration date.

We discovered "Toady Tartar Sauce" (as my little grandson calls it) when he and I were shopping for ingredients to make yummy crab cakes. We had several tartar sauces to choose from but he chose the one with the toad on the label that reminded him of the toad in his Little Blue Truck books. The rest is history. It's the only tartar sauce I prefer to buy. The dill gives it a unique flavor, and if you like dill, adds just the right amount of yummy! I used to buy a different brand which I enjoy just as much BUT have now subscribed and saved to Toady's!

Arrived, June 3, 2025, with a 'Best If Used By' date of February 20, 2025. It's a Food Product and Cannot be returned. 'Buyer Beware'.

Super delicious. Made my sourdough toast Gordon's fish finger sandwich taste like something from a high end restaurant. Quality ingredients.
