My husband and I purchased this train for our son’s birthday. He had been wanting it for a while. He had been rather respectful and patient about it because it is not cheap. When he finally opened it up on his birthday, he was ecstatic.Checking out the train, it looks and works great. The listing says that you can use bluetooth to control it with your smartphone but that doesn’t seem like an option available for our version? I have seen older videos of people reviewing this train and having issues with the back railing falling off the last train car. They have apparently fixed that issue as ours was pretty sturdy. The engine is obviously heavy and everything was pretty straight forward for setup so it didn’t take him long to set it up and start playing with it. We were a little sad because the version we got didn’t have the hitchhiking hobo that comes out of the top of one of the train cars.The train comes with a few figures which are great. Our youngest loved playing with them and discovered that there are small holes in the doorways for them to stand in and so on. Unfortunately, the figures usually get stuck in the doorways if they shift while the train is running.The train did come on time and quickly after ai ordered it and was in great condition. The outer box had a few dings and holes, but the inside box and the box for the train itself were not damaged at all. Aside from the lack of bluetooth and the hitchhiking hobo, this was an excellent purchase.

This is such a fun train! We enjoyed putting the track around our tree. Make sure to read the dimensions of track as we did order extra for our train. We loved the attention to detail on the characters as well as the movie sounds that can be produced by the remote. Our kids enjoyed the bluetooth feature with the train as well. Would definitely recommend or purchase again! There are videos on youtube you can see exactly what this train does!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I don’t write negative reviews unless it’s absolutely needed. The product stated like-new as missing the bell. When it came, the tender did not work and the train was completely non-functional. Upon further investigation, there were multiple screws missing and it was apparent that the tender had been opened and a failed attempt to repair was made. The soldering connections were broken. Clearly this train was not working before it was packaged and sent out. When under the impression of Like-new and paying a Like-new price, I expected a fully functional train and cars. False advertising and just overall poor quality control. I would not recommend purchasing from this seller.

This Lionel O Gauge train set is fantastic! The Bluetooth control works flawlessly, and the details are stunning. Perfect for holiday displays or any train enthusiast. Highly recommend!

It is easy to set up and intergrated with others parts of my polar express train sets.

Very cool set based on the movie the Polar Express. Tom Hanks' announcements, train whistle and smoke generator work very well. Don't plan on using the app though and connecting via bluetooth. Seems the app has not been updated in a very long time, so long that it does not work with Android 14. The set comes with a very capable remote control though. Overall, a very nostalgic toy to help decorate the house for the holidays.
