I have never used baitcaster, and am still very new to to lure fishing. This cmbo is beautifully ballanced, and feels well made.I filled the spool with 30lb braid, one of the places I intend to use it, have that as a rule.I watched a couple of youtube videos to gain some knowledge of loading the line, casting, and setting up, highly recommended for a newby.I was using a 5 gram jighead with a soft lures, cast easily, and as long as you're careful, and set the brakes sensibly, backlashes were not an issue. A first timer easily reaching 25 yards with fair accuracy including roll casting.I was only out for a short while to get to grips with casting, and although I lost the only fish I had take my lure, totally my fault, I am confident this set up will be more than capable of doing everything I want it to, and it will be more than able to handle anything I am likely to hook into.

Hooked this Tope accidentally... this rod preformed amazingly.. never thought it would hold on to this 30lb fish.. but 20 minutes later it did… I’m gonna buy another one..!

New rod and reel, was very excited however bitterly disspointed. 13lb braid £17.00 added 2 new lures at 7.00 each waisted. All sent for the drop-drag for casting 11.5g lure, gave a flick 20 feet the line snagged on either the rod or reel. Tried again and it snapped the braided line so lure lost. Tried again thinking it was me. Same again.. shocking. Google this and you will see it's very much a problem with these rods and reel from abu. Thanks for waisting my money and time

This rod and reel combo is perfect for what I need. Would definitely buy again.

The media could not be loaded. I can't wait to use and see how works, the road and reel look decent, one think I notice is made it in china, i hope I will not get disappointed, saw couples o reviews where people not been satisfied with the road because the reel is been bend it or they have done different damage. I usually don't write reviews, but I made the decision to write review because, I am very picky when I pay for something alot of money. So if anything changes I will be, back with updates. I always buy something based on reviews, otherwise I don't buy

Bought this as it was on sale looks good so far, the reel is matt black and don't know if it was just badly handled but looks rather scuffed and scraped making it look 2nd hand

Didn’t think I would like a bait caster but I’m in love it for 100 quid too! That’s a steal . It’s a perfect rod for starting with baitcasters and it’s mainly for medium/ light weight.

I got this for the son in law he took it out yesterday it worked then the reel stopped I'm not happy at all as it was a gift
