Excellent kit for Lego and F1 fans alike!!
I have been a Lego fan since I can remember. I am now 52 - so I can afford to indulge my inner kid with extravagant kits like this. I build a lot of the knock-offs. And if any of you reading this have done the same, you know it can be a game of hit-and-miss when it comes to missing pieces, build quality, and overall design issues. I have had them all. And I have plenty of extra pieces on hand to get through any build. But, I digress...This is a great kit. I especially enjoyed the cantilever suspension aspect. McLaren had their hand in the design of this kit, which is evident in the final product. I consider myself an advanced builder - so this was a 3.5-4/10 on difficulty for me. However, that is NOT a critique. The instructions were in the classic Lego way easy to follow. Pieces fit perfectly. Remember, it is plastic, so there will be some play with the moving parts. Again, not a critique. Numbered bags make it a breeze to start and stop this build. The finished product is STUNNING! Makes an excellent display/conversation piece. Yes, it is expensive - though I have spend upwards of 200 bucks for a knock-off kit with 3500+ pieces - so the 'price per brick' is higher with Lego than the knock-offs. But that being said, those that are a fan of Lego Technic and Formula 1 this is a great value for the fun it packs. I took my time and boult it over 4 days doing one bag/step a day. I could have easily built it in a single day over a few hours.Overall 5/5 stars. I am never disappointed with Lego kits - though Lego is pricy compared to the knock-offs, I will not hesitate to purchase more from Lego. The Bugatti and the Ferrari Daytona are in my near future for sure. For younger - under 14 or so - it will provide an excellent challenge and a great STEM experience. Advanced builders will find it relatively easy. All will find it a very enjoyable building experience and be very pleased with the finished model. Get your build on!Thanks for reading.

Lego + F1
Lego + F1, do I need to say anything else... this thing was a blast to build and it looks amazing. As with any other Lego product instructions were excellent and I absolutely enjoyed every second of building it.

A great addition for the F1 fans in your house!
This McLaren F1 replica was just a blast. With direct cooperation from the McLaren team, as a means of celebrating its Ground Effects F1 car. It is a highly detailed model with more moving/working parts than one might imagine. It's not too tough to build if one does a little pre-scouting for parts and organizing a dedicated workspace. Please note that this is a large model! It's not small curio-shelf friendly so make sure you have space BEFORE you start assembling. As not having played with my Legos since childhood, the instructions and clear illustrations make the complex much less threatening and the only swearing was done after completing the car and struggling for a space where to show-off my work.Always get complements to the point where I may have to consider that MBZ Petronas car...myabe.

Unleash Your Inner Speedster
From the moment I opened the box, the attention to detail was apparent. The packaging was well-organized, and the high-quality components were neatly arranged, making the building process a joy from start to finish. The set includes everything you need, from meticulously designed bricks to a comprehensive instruction manual that guides you through the assembly with clarity. The replica itself is a true masterpiece. The level of detail captured in this McLaren Formula 1 model is astonishing. Every curve, wing, and logo mirrors the real-life counterpart with uncanny accuracy. It's evident that LEGO has spared no effort in ensuring authenticity, making this kit a must-have for any Formula 1 fan. What impressed me the most was the thoughtfulness behind the design. The attention to detail extends beyond aesthetics, with a focus on functionality. The wheels rotate smoothly, the steering mechanism is responsive, and the overall structure is surprisingly sturdy. In conclusion, LEGO has truly outdone themselves with this McLaren Formula 1 2022 Replica Race Car Model Building Kit. Whether you're a seasoned model builder or a Formula 1 enthusiast, this kit is a thrilling journey from the unboxing to the finished masterpiece. Highly recommended for those seeking a perfect blend of precision, challenge, and aesthetic appeal in a model building experience.

Great set, great build, great final product.
Great set, great build, great final product. I had another Formula 1 car set from years ago that I always loved, and I decided to get this one so I could have one for display at both work and at home.

Great for Racing Fans. Nice challenging build.
The instructions were terrible in some aspects leading to mistakes being made. They should really make more precise and accurate instructions that are easier to understand especially in areas where they're telling you to add a piece to an area you can't see. The car moves but only a few inches and not fluently, same for turning left and right. This is my first build of this size, so not sure if that's the norm, but for my smaller technic builds I am accustomed to fluent smooth rotation of the wheels and no issues with turning. Overall it's a lovely build, looks fantastic, a bit big for storage purposes so you'd need some space for storing or display. Takes up about half a lifetime 4ft table.
