I bought this primarily for ambiance and it is great. The flames in a dark room are wonderful. The case is attractive, well built and substantial. There is glass in the front doors but not on the sides. I don't mind that. The legs attached easily. You can set the color and speed of the flames and color of the logs, plus overall brightness. The controls remember your setting every time you turn it on, except for heat. It always defaults to heat ON, so if you are using it for ambiance like I am, you have to turn the heat off right after you turn the unit on. That could be improved in a later iteration. The remote works fine, even at an angle. I used the touch settings on the unit for a week before I used the remote, so had no trouble figuring it out. As far as heat goes, it seems to put out the usual space-heater amount but is not effective in my living room with a high cathedral ceiling unless I am sitting in front of it. In a small room with 8 ft ceiling I think it would make a difference. The fan noise isn't obnoxious. A small area on the top front of the unit gets warm when the heat is on, but overall it does not. The manual has no info on how to change the bulbs if they burn out. Seems like an oversight. That said, I am very happy with this purchase. The cat, not so much. She keeps expecting heat...

The media could not be loaded. There's a lot to love about this electric fireplace. It's a light enough weight that you can easily move it around but has a quality look and feel instead of the usual cheap plastic. The legs are metal and easy to attach with the included screws--you just need your own Phillips head screwdriver. You can change the flame speed and color (the highest speed is the most realistic) and when desired it puts out a nice amount of heat from the top of the fireplace, where it's less apt to damage the LED flame electronics. I also really like the fact that the fireplace will briefly light up a red number at the back of the fireplace to show you the flame brightness, speed or color setting. It hits that sweet spot of being useful but unobtrusive. I also like the option of manual buttons, which allow more direct control of the log color separate from overall brightness, flame color and speed. Its greatest weakness is the remote. It's finicky. Really finicky. I often have to wave the remote around in an attempt to get the fireplace to sense my button presses, and it can take five or six attempts to get the fireplace to respond.The only other down side I've noted is easily remedied. The fireplace has no sound. Fortunately, there are apps that you can install on your cell phone that will seamlessly add that extra dimension to your fireplace. In the video I recorded showing some of the speed and color options, you'll note crackling sounds part way through the recording. THIS ISN'T FROM THE FIREPLACE. It's an example of what the fireplace is like when you add cell phone audio from the OnSwitch app in fireplace scene mode, which not only gives a realistic crackling sound but also controls Hue lighting. I find using that app for sound with my favorite color settings and the flames on the highest speed makes me feel as if I have a real fire without the heat (unless so desired) or mess.Some have asked about using this on a covered screen porch. I've done that, but only with a really heavy-duty, short, outdoor power cord when the humidity isn't crazy high. The manual says indoor only, and I suspect that high humidity could damage the electronics and shorten its life expectancy. Given how much I like the fireplace, I decided to move it back indoors. The instructions say to keep it 2 feet from a rear wall, but in the video, I have it in front of my existing fireplace with the doors open, where it has 2 feet of clearance from the back of the firebox.I can't yet speak to the fireplace's longevity, but I'm extremely happy with it so far and would probably buy it again if it lasts the year.

I had a hard time shopping online for these so I want to make it easier for others. I am overall very happy with this final purchase. I had before this, purchased another brand for around the same price and when I recieved it, it was tiny and half the size I expected even after reviewing measurements. I returned it right away. This fireplace stove is a great and also realistic size but can still work great for smaller places like an apartment for example, because the depth (how far it goes into the room), is the perfect amount, with the widest depth being only 10 inches at the very most, into your living area, BUT at the same time it's still large enough to look beautiful and make a huge decor statement and atmosphere change in your home, and then add the fact it has it's beautifully designed panoramic sides. 5 stars all the way.IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE WHEN SHOPPING FOR THESE ONLINE.some OTHER companies WILL trick you by doing things like putting long legs on these tiny stoves to make it seem like you'll have this tall or larger fireplace😂. FACT: the legs on this one are long but they are fitting and portioned correctly to the base itself which is still much larger than most companies and the stove comes up in total to about 23.5" x 24" which is a great size. Also these other companies will build wide or tall base structures BUT, the actual display size where you see the flames or fires glow is MUCH smaller. FACT: the display is close to the size of the entire base with a beautiful double front glass window with it's doors that reach to both corners, as well as the beautifully designed and fairly large diamond slots that give it panaramic view sides. When you add the side displays length to the front displays length, it'll be giving you a total of around 30" of display with it's color changing flames in the front and it's relaxing fires glow coming through on the sides. truly beautiful! I highly recommend.I would like to add that my downstair neighbor stole my first stove fireplace delivery which was actually a birthday present from my fiance. Amazon, UPS, etc, immediately sent me a new one, and opened an investigation. I was extremely happy with the service provided by everyone involved.
