It's not thin plastic, but it's not Rubbermaid heavy duty. I've used them for years, I've never had an issue with them cracking, but I've not dropped them, either. I'd say they're reasonably heavy duty, but not meant to be abused or meant to stand up to heavy abuse.

12”. There is a little bit of a recess so they fit into each other. I have the 15.5 quart bins, but they are same height as the 7.5 quart bins.

Q: Will the 7.5 quart hold DVDs?

If left in their original rectangular boxes, DVDs will be too large to stack from end to end in the Homz storage container. What I do is remove DVDs from their original rectangular boxes and place them in clam shell plastic holders (bought on Amazon)--these stack nicely in the Homz containers. I did not count them, but it is approximately 40 DVDs per container that way.

I will buy again.

These containers work great to help me organize snacks in our pantry. They can stack easily and feel sturdy enough to do so. They don't feel like a cheap plastic and have good weight to them without being heavy or cheap feeling. The lids lock on easily.

Second time ordering. Very nice size. NOTE: plastic is thin but for what I need these for won’t be a problem. Personally I think because of thin plastic these are over priced. My concern is I need to stack these🤷‍♀️. Nice latch and like you can see what’s inside. UPDATE: I have stacked these and no problem. I’m using these to store my spring/flowers, (each season) in. Bins are So big I only need 2 bins to store the overwhelming amount of flowers I have in stock.You bet I will continue to purchase more for each season. Big space saver using these bins instead of keeping flowers all over my craft room. Best thing I have ever done.

Deep Storage Bins

The quality is too thin.

The boxes are the right size and fits on my shelves, Problem IT was BROKEN. There is no packing between the boxes so if push or heavy item laid on top of the box. So be careful and check the last box in the stack.
