My husband got me this as a gift. I was doubtful that I'd like it but - I love it! It's great for making kindling without much effort but it's also great for splitting logs into smaller portions when needed so I didn't have to use the log splitter to do so. My grandson also loves it; he can safely make kindling as well as split smaller logs without much effort. He's 11 and finds this a lot of fun so I ordered one for his father so he can help his dad too!

This wood splitter works really well. I finally found something that I can split firewood with that actually works. It is solid steel and very sturdy. I bought the XL version and the ring conveniently holds the wood from falling out while you strike it with a sledge hammer. The piece of wood typically splits after two or three whacks. I recommend this product.
